Thanos vs Galactus. I am struggling with this. It's easy to say Galactus but if I am not mistaken Thanos has bested him twice without the Infinity Gauntlet. The proplem with that reasoning is that Galactus has been foiled many times by lesser beings, but then again so has Thanos.

The problem is that Thanos is an overachiever, he does something that many villains can't do; he succeeds. A lot.





That's obviously two different comics and I have read enither of them so I do not know the exact befores and afters. I have not decided yet.

 

Thanos cheap shot galactus in the first one. Galactus recovered and destroyed him.

I've seen images of Thanos getting inside Galactus' head and trying to control him, he obviously has the power to damage the Destroyer of Worlds.



But Galactus eats freaking planets, that says a lot.

Thanos wouldn't really have a problem with defeating the Heralds.

With the Infinity Gauntlet plus the fact he once usurped Enternity, Thanos really only fears the Beyonder or the Living Tribunal both of whom would curbstomp Galactus

Of course, Thanos got smacked-up by Odin and could the old guy really beat Galactus?


I think that without the Godlike powers afforded to him by items, Thanos would likely get pwned.

 

Maybe? Back in the day Thor managed to beat Galactus. Odin has access to the Odinforce and that tends to have ridiculous effects on characters.

 

I guess it come down to whether having the Infinity Gauntlet counts as prep-time, because with it Thanos would likely win but without probably not.

I guess I'll have to go for Galactus to win, because most of the time he would unless Thanos has the Gauntlet
