I thought the Rydonni Prime ownership bought them out and shipped their players off to their second-tier development team.

And I thought the option was more like the old ELL bye-week system where we had one bye team per week. My bad.

 

They actually own the rights to the dathomir team but they are more than willing to make a deal with another royal family

Jeez I take one lunch off to go get clam chowder and you guys explode on me with OOB posting.

Let me put it this way: Moira Mallory has a lot of autonomy with the way she runs the C-Bucs. Though the C-Bucs do fly the banner, so to speak, of the Consortium, they play solely on Hapes. As GM, I am perfectly willing to have Mallory make a very persuasive argument to the Crown that a affiliate is needed for the development of young stars. The C-Bucs preference is actually only for female players. They need not be Hapan nor Human. Currently, they solely are Human/Hapan, but that doesn't mean they're not open. Another team within the Consortium as an LFL team would be acceptable. Also, having males on that team is acceptable as well. They would be marked, as Gunny recently called them, as "lifers" and not having a shot at the big team, but that doesn't mean they can't serve a valuable veteran role to develop the young females of the team.

However, now that I wrote that I just saw page 217 where jc decided to just go with 8. Oh well. Background information!

OK, I'll keep that information in mind if I need a new NPC team in the future. I was not aware that the C-Bucs would accept aliens; thanks for that info. I'll have Marius mention in the season opening post that Corellia and Hapes both opted not to have D-teams for this season but are considering the possibility for the future. That way I can draw from either of them if I need to even out the teams in a later season.

 

Sounds like a plan. Good luck with the scheduling. I don't have skin in the game on that one, so I say what makes your life easiest. As someone who's wrangled schedules (and then outsourced them to CPL_Macja) I am all for easy.

 

Doesn't Hapes already have the Hapes Juniors league? I think that would make up for the lack of a D-League affiliate.

They do have the Consortium Juniors league, but none of those teams are feeders to the C-Bucs. They're like a college conference (well, really Canadian ice hockey juniors) as it's youth development on a large scale. All those players are looking to sign contracts.

 

I know, but it does serve a purpose to develop young players. From a certain point of view.
