[face_laugh] They have remained well behaved in your...absence. I can only attribute that to superior training.

I've just been busy with work and sleep :p Mostly cause heckling isn't as fun when there aren't people around to hate you for it.

Oh, and guns cause the only time dress-up is cool is when you're dressing up a gun. Even if its just a paintball gun :p

    And Dew cause...its me.

The beer is helping with the sleeping part. Dunno about the wisdom of combining beer and Dew though [face_dunno]

I'm curious, what are our current knights doing in regard to finding their own little niche specialties?

Not much. I know I'm a Sentinel, but I haven't really had time to do much more with all the writing I have these days.

Been trying out sleight of hand -- have done some computer programming in the past, also opened some locks (my own, I hasten to add!).

Good to know. What practical application would sleight of hand have for a Jedi?

If the opposition think they have been clever by putting a detention area within a ysalamiri void, then it might be possible to palm a key-card or rank cylinder if one has those skills - makes escaping so much easier!

Mara's line about most people thinking they can neutralise a Jedi by taking away her Lightsaber in SQ got me thinking about what other tricks the semi-knowing could pull! Same for ventriloquism - a voice apparently coming from behind a guard/sentry would make for a great distraction!

I've always wondered about 'throwing one's voice'. How does that work?

    Thank-you.

Yeah that second link is fun. I meant to ask about the ability to make it seem as if the noise/talking is coming from a different part of the room, say behind someone instead of the sound/words coming from you. Is that possible? Tim Battershell

Should be, if one can make a dummy or a stapler on someone's desk 'talk' -- recon it's the eyes not seeing the Jedi's lips move, but hearing a voice that does it -- the brain fools itself as to where it's coming from!

Good thing (with the magic) to use to help Anakin Sherland keep the younglings distracted after they get back from the ruins, IMO -- that's if all the rescued are coming to the Cafeteria too! Don't worry, 'Fresher will not be allowed to talk to them -- he's far too rude!

Does it work for people irl? I know it can work for lions as they can roar loudly enough to be heard ten miles out and have it bounce off other objects so you're not sure where it's coming from... that is, if you DON'T see the lion. hmm Not quite that either.
