Thanks Jade_Pilot. :) Writing for this challenge was fun. I'm trying to get back into it and this seemed like a good way to ease my way back after a long time gone.

I agree. You thirty somethings are a whole different generation. I don't get you young kids with your pants down past your butt and listening to music on your Walkmans.

Edit: My son informed me you now listen to something called an iPod.

    :p

I'm 38, but I still remember rotary phones, records, 8 tracks, tv's without remotes, going outside to play.

When a calculator was more powerful than a home computer.

A good chakkenge might be to have the characters crash land on a primitive planet without technology, sort of Star Wars meets Gilligan's island.

newdawn12 that wouldn't work in a galaxy, far, far away. After the tenth time the SW equivalent of Gilligan ruined their chances for rescue the Jedi version of the Skipper would go all dark side and smash his lightsaber over this 'little buddy's' head. Although I do think Thursten Howell III would make a good Palatine. Ginger could be the Emperor's Hand.

I could see it this way, Han's the skipper, Luke's the professor, Lando is Gilligan
Leia mary ann Mara ginger, Ysanne Isaard, Mrs Howell, and Palpatine Mr Howell

We actually still have a rotary phone in the house. I'm 35 and one of my few circle of friends who actually own a record player. I make my kids go outside and play. Plus, I remember we had an old floor model Zenith tv that you had to actually drag yourself out of the chair to change the channel. :)
