For just a little while, I thought she was going to end up with Kyp.

 

Agreed and not just the age, from my perspective Jaina and Kyp aren't compatible with each other. He did... misdirect her and exploited her skills during that period of the war.

 

Addie, I know you like kyp. But that's secretly because you like bad guys, just a little. And let's be honest, Kyp has not always been a good guy.

 

That... ah... not all women Addie... I best not add further to that one.

So, about Corran.... that moment when he is in a situation on that station with Anakin and Tahiri (It's been so long since I've read the books so some details elude me) and I found that moment between Tahiri and Anakin to be cute and could have been a tad longer.

It's a shame we didn't get the Dark Tide Trilogy as intended and that those books were the last we got of Michael Stakepole in the SW Universe.

 

Did Stackpole retire? I didn't know that.

I did like that part with Corran, Tahiri, and Anakin.

 

I must say Tahiri and Anakin's relationship was superb. Tahiri never became Coran's apprentice did she, though I do seem to remember it was suggested?

I always liked Tahiri's character and the way the Solo's basically adopted her later on was a nice touch.

Could anyone point me in what direction to go after FotJ - I did complete the book series but stopped reading after that.

 

I have to agree with you about Tahiri and Anakin. It was bittersweet in the end.

Regarding post FotJ era books, I know there are a series of books coming out though I haven't gone far into the LotF series, timeline wise so I'm not that helpful with books post NJO era... Like you, I did stop for a bit... the Dark Nest Trilogy and early LotF didn't sit well with me... and what got me back into the books were Shadow Games, Choices of One and the 20th Anniversary Edition of Heir to the Empire. Waiting for Scoundrels to come on paperback.

Yeah, like CO said above, there's a new series supposed to be coming out. I would pick up some stand alones to occupy myself until. It didn't get a lot of attention at the time, but I would recommend "Scourge" by Jeff Grubb. I found it entertaining.

 

Now that will be a book long remembered, I really enjoyed that! Hmmm, Scoundrels - forgot about that and I haven't read Choices of One either. Excellent suggestions!

I like him too, but he needs to stay away from Jaina. I agree they are a horrible match.

 

It's true. They do. They love em until they realize most are not dependable. All of the "scoundrels" can't be like Han.

 

Scoundrels are fun... real life bad boys aren't.

 

I remember reading somewhere how Jaina seemed to have a thing for guys with black hair and green eyes (Zekk, Kyp, Jag). Then I read Face's description in Wraith Squadron -"shock of black hair and emerald grin eyes" and wondered why she was never linked with him. Then I remebered that Face was bald for NJO.

 

I'm unfortunately like Jaina in that I fall for emotionally cold guys :/ Though I guess Zekk is pretty great, and not as cold.

I finally finished Tempest And like I said in the Jacen Solo Fan Club...

HOLY the fight between Jacen and Aurra Sing was awesome! I forgot how much I hated where his story was going for a minute.

 

I'm about to start rereading NJO tonight, so I'll be reliving those moments soon.
