Whatever you did, it's all his fault anyway, he's jealous, he's holding you back.

So what you're basically saying, is... "blame Havac"?

So, yesterday, I managed to get pretty close to Rob Zombie at Mayhem Fest. Sweet! [IMG]

Sick kiddo this morning. This is not the Monday I had planned. Of course she couldnt be sick last week when it was downpouring. No...she picks the one nice day we've had in two weeks! (I do not actually blame her the poor kid.)

PARTY ON ZAYNE, PARTY ON CARTH!

KotOR is today celebrating its ten year anniversary !!! It really didn't seem worth unlocking and bumping the old discussion thread (not least because it would have then been a double post on my part!), and celebrating in the TOR thread felt... wrong.. but I wanted to mark the occasion somehow, regardless.

So happy 10th birthday, KotOR! Without you, I honestly wouldn't be the Star Wars fan I am today. Thanks for the hours upon hours of entertainment that ate into the time I should have been using to revise for my AS levels! It was a blast. *raises glass*

*grumble grumble* they're using TOR art for the KOTOR commemorative art? Bleh!

Anyway, KOTOR was one of my favorite games back in the day. I knew it was something special when I was able to hand it over to my SW-hating friends and they got addicted any way (and some of whom even changed their mind about SW as a result!). It was my first experience with a Bioware RPG and one of my first western RPGs ever, along with Morrowind (I'd only played Japanese RPGs like Pokémon or Earthbound before that).

To this day, that style of RPG is now my favorite among video games, equaled only by historical grand strategy (RTW and CK2, I'm looking at you!) -- so I'd say it had a lasting impact.

Um. Well, no. Not at all. I mean, it was the game that drew me in.

I was a BioWare fanboy loooong before Star Wars was something I cared about to any significant degree (though I was passingly familiar with the EU). It's funny how much the tables have turned.

But you could say that JJM and the other writers of his quality are those who kept me invested, sure. :p

Yeah, it kind of offends me.

Oh, I get it. It's Drew Karpyshyn's fault.

Well, if we ignore the rest of the game's staff... sure!

Hm? That's... the opposite of what the article says:

"There’s no mention of Star Wars 1313 but it seems unlikely that EA will be picking up a disbanded studio’s unfinished work. Especially given the studios it’s lined up, and the talk of, “new games”"

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what Visceral do in the universe. Never bothered with DSIII, but I and II were a lot of fun. A "TOMBS OF KORRIBAN/ZIOST" survival horror would be pretty neat.

Could somebody explain to me what the thread title is referring to with Ackbar being "back" and "gone"?

Ackbar was the mascot of the social thread. This is the second iteration of the social thread, hence "ACKBAR IS BACK!"

Ackbar has since been displaced as the mascot of the social thread by Social Fred, the Jawa, hence "ACKBAR IS GONE, ALL HAIL SOCIAL FRED"

This forum has been quite rebellous since Social Fred's reign of fun started. "Assassination of Palpatine: Impossible or Ingenious?" "A Tarkin's coup: Possiblity or Pipedream?". It's almost as if people are making notes...

I, for one, hail Social Fred as the true lord of the social thread. Long live the Bearer of Sand, Sunclasses and 60% Summer Droid Sales!
