On the news this morning, one of the reporters was at a family owned and operated farm that allows the public to come out and pick their own fruit if they wish(they also pick it and see it at a store there and sell to local grocery stores but the pick your own is much cheaper). Because of the cooler temperatures that we've had(compared to most summers) and the amount of rain, they are having some of the best harvests ever of strawberries, blackberries and the peaches should be fully ripe in another few weeks. The peaches that they showed were the size of a softball.

also yum! My province has saskatoon berries, which I found out today are ready to go, so I can head down to one of the orchards and pick some. mmm can't wait.
