Does lando with a cane contradict the EU?

Or is there room to fit lando having and using a cane in the EU without contradicting it?

Does this warrant its own thread to discuss?

If they need to cast Josh Holloway as Han in the spin off flick, I would actually be okay with that.

I've always been partial to Fassbender for Star Wars in some capacity. Plus while promoting Prometheus he talked about what a big Star Wars fan he is. GET IT DONE.

Something I've been curious about, if the Sequel trilogy where to spawn a new EU, which authors do people think would be willing to continue writing in it? Would Zahn stick around if it was established that TTT and HoT hadn't happened? Would Luceno or Stover be willing to write in it? Allston, Denning, Golden?

Luceno, Stover, and Allston all the way. I don't know if Denning would stay and if he does I hope they give him strict guidelines about what he can and can't do. I also want to see Paul Kemp and Zahn back. Reaves has also done well in his books, but he's never touched post-ROTJ stuff; it could be interesting to read. Golden? Sure, why not; I have no complaints about her writing style (except when Ben bopped Vestara with the Force and tied her up in her sheets).

There's a few prequel authors it would have been nice to see more from. Sean Stewart, of Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, for example.

This is the thread for discussing the ST in Lit, is it not?

The post was about the VII release date, which isn't lit-related.

So do we actually think we will get some new info at the upcoming celebration? I mean Del Rey has to have some clue at what they can and can't do with the future EU. I also read somewhere that Abrhams is a fan of the EU, but I can't find any info on it.

Also when was the first the first prequel EU tie in in relation to the Phantom Menace? Did they release EU material about the era before the movie was released or are we probably going to have to wait until after Episode 7 is released for Episode 7 EU tie ins?

I think the Jedi Apprentice series was some of the earliest tie-in material- with the first book being released shortly before the movie- May 3rd 1999, with the movie appearing on May 18th, according to Wookieepedia.

Call me a drama queen, but I certainly would think twice before re-enlisting if twenty years of my creations were demoted to infinities or glorified fanfic..
