Do any of you ever feel intense pressure when you know you are writing an important - vital - part of your fanfics? That everything you've built up to hinges on that one chapter, as its the huge pay-off for everything?

I'm currently on that chapter for 'Dangerous Games' and its giving me a bit of trouble. I know where I want the chapter to go, I know how it ends... its just linking it together to form a cohesive narrative. It's the most vital chapter in the story, and it has to be done well...

And my muses for Dooku and Obi-Wan won't shut up for me to move on in the chapter... It feels like I'm treading the same thing again and again...

 

Oh ho - but it's sure to be good when you reach the breakthrough. !
Maybe staring at Obi-Wan pictures will stir the creative pot??

But the chains one is very inspiring. So is that wet on Kamino one. Of course, they may not inspire the particular story you are trying to finish... ahem...

Hello all. It's been a day of unmitigated torture here in fanfic land. Working on my third wicked chapter of the day...
how's the rest of the fan club doing?

 

Ruth, you are such a meanie to our Poor Obi -

We need to get him in here to comfort and heal him...poor baby.

Where's Ash, to give our poor Obi some tender love and comfort.

 

Hurry, Ash, hurry! He's /miserable/.

 

I was re-watching the TCW season two episode "Voyage of Temptation" the other day.

And I just like to state that there were definitely plenty of amusing and humorous Obi-Wan and Anakin moments in that episode.

 

I enjoyed the byplay in the elevator- purposeful allusion to RoTS, I'm sure.. Anakin telling Obi-Wan to relax, he's nervous (on their way to dinner with the Duchess) and then Obi-Wan's snappish reply. And Anakin's classic "what/ he was gonna blow up the ship." at the end, although that might be more dark humor.

 

It's such a shame that TCW didn't show off more of Anakin and Obi-Wan's friendship. My understanding from an interview of JAT earlier this year was that there were some great Obi-Wan/Anakin stories coming up that they had done the voice recordings for and were in the process of being animated. It's probably unlikely we will ever get to see them... I doubt they will be included in the bonus content.

BUT from digging around, listening to interviews, it does seem possible that the bonus content could be all of S6. There was a clip shown last year that did show animation - incompleted animation that was still in production - for an arc that had the production codes of 6.1 and 6.2 which was an Obi-Wan/Anakin arc which by my calculation would have ended up being the season 6 finale. I have a slim hope that we may get to see that one.

 

That would be fabulous. S4 and 5 developed some /tension/ between them, but we haven't seen much of a build up to the more positive relationship at the beginning of RoTS. Too bad the Empire bought out the franchise before the show could be worked round to a satisfying conclusion. I had hoped to see the cartoon series manage a real narrative unity like the three-year Avatar animated series did - it's not /impossible/ in the genre (And Dave Filoni did work on that somewhat, I believe) -- but it's sad that whatever finale was planned has been relegated to a sideshow.

 

So Disney is now the Empire?

 

One can only hope that's the case. I found the lack of Obi-Wan in season 5 very disturbing

 

Despite the lack of Obi-Wan in season 5 it appears he may be getting the cover of the S5 DVD/Blu-ray! So rumours say of course... (Though Obi-Wan did appear in all the arcs in season 5 in some capacity).

I would say he has the best cover. I admit I do like the animated Obi-Wan. That probably sounds strange.

Now if only the show had been live-action... Ewan playing Obi-Wan for 5 seasons... that would have been grand!!!
