I'm waiting for the official hotels to be posted on the celebration website so I can get the convention rate. I think a bunch of us in the area will be staying at the 501st hotel, which everyone is hoping the Marriott. I just hope that Marriott is better than the DTC Marriott (I loath that hotel). If it's at the Hilton great! Who needs a frig when you got coolers? LOL

It says tix go on sale at 7 am pacific, which would be 8 am our time, but the countdown timer (when it was up) had it ending at 7 am our time... Go figure.

We got our room at Hilton, we are going to try for a Disney view for the girls. We called them last night for more information and they have a sky walk to the convention center, can provide a fridge if you request it, and two queens in a room, have a Starbucks, and do in house babysitting (which we might take advantage of for an adult dinner). :D
    Getting excited!!!!

Well, VIP sure didn't last. I missed CVI, and was totally bummed.

Come hell or high water, I will make it to CVII!

Really makes 2015 seem right around the corner.

Hotel info and pricing (I've just booked the Hilton for 7 nights, Wed through Wed, 2 beds):

    $189 Anabella Hotel
    $199 Anaheim Marriott
    $130 Best Western Stovall's Inn
    $159 Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort
$180 Doubletree by Hilton - Anaheim Resort Conventio...
    $199 Hilton Anaheim
$209 Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort

    OnPeak Policies:
You must give a credit card number to hold room but it won't be charged until about 30 days before the event. The credit card cannot expire within 30 days of close of event (so, if you have cc that expires before May 20th, 2015 you'll need another one). They will charge you one night plus tax (Hilton is $232) before arrival as your deposit.

Cancellation is before 72 hours, after that you lose your deposit. If you check-in a day late or leave early (without consulting the front desk at check-in) you lose your deposit.

At this time (or at least this morning) you cannot request a particular room, only the number of beds (1 king or 2 queens). I'm hoping to get a Disney view so I can see fireworks. I suggest you call the hotel directly sometime in Feb/Mar 2015 for particular views (don't do it now, as they are busy booking).

Edit: most of the 501st and R2BC is booking at the Hilton, so it's looking more like the "semi-official" hotel. Hilton is selling out fast.

Ok i am sorry i am going to post this...i think there is a misunderstand about the hilton. when they say there is a walkway, they mean a sidewalk. there is NOT a skybridge, any type of connection between the two. Period...i called and spoke to two different people..and i was VERY specific. they both said walkway and i said is that a connecting bridge, no the sidewalk...so I do NOT care which one was stay at...i was only concerned about the mini-fridge. so there you have it.
