VIDEO Abrams might be Star Wars' Whedon. What does that mean for games?

Other than just being the director of Episode VII J.J. Abrams will now b Star Wars' version of Marvel's Whedon. He will be controlling the creative processes for all movies, TV shows, books, comics, and yes, mean games. So what does this mean for Star Wars games. Will Battlefront "3"'s campaign be more in depth than the first two? What does this mean for more story driven games also?

No? Isn't Kathleen Kennedy doing all those things?

I was under the impression Abrams was Episode VII's director, not head of LucasFilm.

He isn't the head of LFL but he is now the person who is the head of every Star Wars related.

Lazy Storm Trooper That would be a rumour, and one that appears on only one site. I'll come back to discuss this if anything comes up that would suggest this is actually happening.

He compared Abrams to Whedon, not Feige.

It means Star Wars games won't be, on balance, crushingly awful?

Ender Sai Whatever you can say about EA, at least they generally publish some really strong games. Given that I don't like MMOs, I haven't played a great SW game since 2005!

The Old Republic was good, but it's a BioWare RPG with a Star Wars licence tacked on. I'm talking about the poor quality titles like Farce Unleashed, Battlefront, Empire at Yawn (Rebellion was sooo much better).
