The silicon golem disappeared awfully quick there - was that due to them defeating it, or was it Durkon that caused it to disappear?

They collapse into a cloud of sand when you kill them, so probably the former.

Can't wait to see how V explains her/his abcense. The action is over, LG fled, Team Evil was supposed to teleport away. Just waiting for Tarquin.

    Stabbytown. lol.

That's not a golem, it's a silica elemental. Remember Redcloak summoned a Chlorine one and some titaniums ones in the battle for Azure city. There's also a bonus comic in the book where he summons a magnesium one to fight a good dragon.

Ok, look at that link. Scroll down and you see an elemental called a "Belker". Close enough for Belkar? Let's take a look at the description:

"Though belkers in the game are undeniably evil, they are reclusive and have very little interest in the affairs of others. If angered, however, it attacks without mercy."

    Sounds like Belkar to me.

Is that a new character, the girl in white who is opening the gate?

I like Haley indulging in the time honored tradition of looting the bodies of one's enemies.

Anyone else think Game of Thrones with that last panel?

Possibly not a new character but possibly Tarquin aligning all of his allies into an anti-Order...

Hold on, isn't she one of Tarquin's old adventuring party? I seem to recognise those floating balls around her head...

    EDIT: Missed dp's post. :p

I was thinking I saw her before but I do not know all of this as well as your folks. Yeah, is she from his adventuring party or perhaps she is one of his daughters by that former party member?

Same hair? Same dress? Same headband and floating balls? :p I'd say it's her.

I was hoping for Tarquin and Xykon to interract.

So Tarquins entire party must still be alive. The number of baronies equals their party number minus Malack who is with Tarquin.

The OOTS is not only gender and race diverse, it is alignment diverse.

Ijust noticed Mr Scruffy dislikes Durkon. "Hissss!"

Hold on, so now Durkon's alignment is Lawful Evil?

Ok, so now we got Tarquin and a freaking army marching in with Xykon and co. still hanging about. This is going to get interesting. :-B

"Hello Nale. Walk with me. We have a lot to talk about." - hmmmm, I wonder if Tarquin already knows what Nale did to Malack then? [face_thinking]

I love that Tarquin's genre savvy is like the gift that keeps on giving... I suspect, however, next strip to be awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwesome.

It makes sense that Belkar thinks V is female - after all, he kissed him/her in Azure City. :p But personally I think of V as "he".

I wonder what Tarquin's ultimate plan in all this is. Although - does he have one at all? He seems to be operatively changing his tactics every time there's some new development. I do wonder how it all plays out.

Of course, count me among those who love how genre-savvy he is... :p

Looking through the lens of "everything he does advances his plan: to rule the continent clandestinely and either server out to old age or die in climactic battle with his son" everything he's done makes perfect sense.
