what a crappy night.
just found a dead cat on the road on my way home from work. called the only night-open pet clinic, which we are supposed to do (at least in my country) in these situations. and the ***** who picked up the phone was of no use. she just kept yawning, talking in an extremely low voice and telling me that she didn't give a **** and that i could bring it to another clinic in the morning when they open up. as if i'm not angry enough with the person who ran into and left the cat to die slowly and painfully, now i have to hate the ******* vet too. wouldn't bother me as much if it weren't her job to take in dead pets, but turns out that it is and that she just couldn't care less and wanted to continue her nap

You have to call a vet for dead animals? Here it's just animal control people who pick them up.

 

yes, for pets. animal control people only takes care of issues regarding deers, moose, etc. it's a whole other system. not even sure if we're talking about the same thing when you and i say animal control

 

Probably not. I just find it odd that a vet's resources would be used for animals they can't help.

 

it's to check for microchips and then, hopefully, find the owner. also dispose of the body if it isn't picked up. but i understand your confusion

 

Today we had elementary and secondary ELA teachers from around the district at my school for professional development. The bathroom that I usually use for my pooping at work was being defiled all day by these jerkfaces . I couldn't poop in silence/comfort.

I keep checking Amazon to see if the DVDs I sent them for their Trade-in program have been accepted so I can use the money to order a couple of things, even thought it might not be until tomorrow that they will be.

 

My three disc version of Brazil includes the atrocious Universal cut. I would liken it to receiving a two disc version with a dead rat stapled to the side, but I would not be so offended by the rat.

It was still, ironically, a lot cheaper than the good cut by itself.

 

What if it was one of those large Australian spiders?

 

I didn't like that movie for 20 years because I had only seen that bad version. Until a year ago when a good friend let me borrow that three disc criterion edition. I still haven't given it back. That's gotta be a 1stWP for my friend.
