    Dungeon Crawlin' Fools (1–121) - 120 pages
On the Origin of PCs - 72 pages
No Cure for the Paladin Blues (121a-301) - 244 pages
Start of Darkness - 96 pages
    War And XPs (302–484) - 288 pages
    Don't Split the Party (485–672) - 272 pages

I wonder whether the current stretch of the strips (from the end of the last book - 672) up to the present is going to be split into several books, or whether we're actually at the last stretch.

He said this past year that "we are past the halfway mark".

So, On The Origin ofPCs and Start Of Darkness are what I have not seen.

I don't recall exactly what I was looking for when I found OOTS. I want to say I might have been searching for some kind of fan d&d web comic and came across OOTS on a forum. Reading them from page one was like an addict on crack. I mentioned it here somewhere and Quix caught it and reread it all and started this thread. :)

Hold on, are you saying you haven't read OtOoPCs and SoD, or that you simply haven't seen them in comic book stores?

Because I'm very reluctant to believe the former...

If it's not HERE I have not read it.

And I do not frequent comic book stores much anymore and I have not see it there. Are you say they are potentially sitting there on a shelf and I have walked right by them? :(

You also find them in gaming stores too.

I own the books, ALL the books even the Dragon one. I have two copies of On the Origin of PCs, one is signed. On the Origin of PCs is ok, but Start of Darkness is amazing. And I will own the new one when it comes out. Reading them as a book ether thn updates s interesting.

I got hold of the books for the non-online comics (ie. On the Origin of PCs, Start of Darkness and Snicks, Snails and Dragon Tales) during the Giant's Kickstarter campaign. I agree with Katana that Start of Darkness (concerning how Xykon and Red Eye first met) is fantastic and provides a lot of background to Team Evil, well worth reading if you can get it.

So, I've been re-reading the last story arc so far and this detail caught my eye:

In 747, Vaarsuvius says s/he was unable to contact either Girard or Serini. Now, we know why Girard was out of reach (he was already dead by then). Bu why couldn't V reach Serini? Is she merely shielded by magic (like that Cloister spell thing), or is she dead? And how long do the halflings live in D&D-verse? Because there were two generations between Soon and Shojo, and Shojo was pretty old (then again, I believe Serini was much younger than Soon).

I love how Tarquin pretty much repeated my own reasoning why Nale was no longer working as Elan's personal nemesis. :p Just shows how amazingly genre-savvy he is.

Also, I predict Sabine will (temporarily) join with OOTS if they go against Tarquin.

    Tarquin. [face_love]

I think he just became my favorite character in a mere two strips.

It's pretty cold reasoning, even from Tarquin. And although Tarqiuin is very cool, he's still an inferior character to Elan. Even in this comic I still think humanity is a more impressive trait than knowing how to play the game.

I could have sworn I read that Rich Berlew did not like psionics in his rpg. Glad to see he changed his mind at least for the comic, she is cool. I wonder if there are any soulknives running around in OOTS(One of my fav classes).

I all but forgot they calle dit a "blood plasma" tv.

    Where the hell is Thog?

"Was he? Thog, I mean. Is he dead?"

"We won't know until we dig him out, I'm afraid."

    "Oh."

So, we don't know. That is the last mention.

Even though Élan does know his family is never going to be happy, Nale is still his brother. And but for the grace of Gary, could have been him...

I know how he feels. I think a lot kids of divorce hope, deep down inside, that everything could be happy again but know it can't.

It'll take some narrative somersaults to get that, I think, given IIRC she's banished from the Prime Material Plane for 100 years or so?
