A little background. I joined a non-traditional women only gym last summer. This gym has regular fitness classes along with pole dancing classes and aerial/silks classes. It was completely different from any other gym I'd seen and I fell in love with just from their website. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was home. I started their pole fitness classes last August. Mainly I started the classes as a fun way to exercise because pole requires a hell of a lot of strength. I still do it for exercise, but recently I got the bug to try some performances/competitions. A couple weeks ago I had my first competition, in Las Vegas. My song was Cello Wars by the Piano Guys and I dressed up as Slave Leia.

My idea for this routine would again be a competition, probably next year in March or so. Most dancers have a thing or area they are really good at, or something. I'm not all that good yet, having never danced or done gymnastics before, so I though my thing could be nerdy music or routines. Someone told me about Lindsey Stirling and this piece really captured me. I try to keep my pole life separate from my other online identities (oops for posting this with my real-ish name) so students and random family members don't come across it. I'm proud of what I can do, but don't want to deal with crap from small minded people. For the record, all of my clothes stay ON for every routine, I'm no stripper. That being said, I'll see about posting some of the routine stuff on here as it progresses. I don't have a lot figured out with the routine yet, but it'll come. Those who are my Facebook friends got to see my progressions with my Star Wars routine, both with the costume and the routine itself.

Here's my sketch so far. I will add the hat eventually.

One of the tricks with a Link costume is to make sure to not end up being mistaken for an elf, despite the similarities. I don't have any tips in avoiding that, just something to keep in mind.

Some vulcan/elf ears might add to the list, though I'd see if they affect the above concern posutively or not.

ALTTP was marketed as Zelda III initially before it got it's subtitle. I don't think they'd ever go back and overwrite that by continuing the numbering scheme (especially since it'd technically be Zelda XVII or something). Once the Oracle games came out, referring to the Zelda games by a number (unofficially or not) kinda went out the window.

How did I never before realize that Zelda is a Vulcan legend? [face_rofl]

I don't get it. Where does neck pinching come from?

I went for steel gray pants instead of tan or off white. The only tan I could find were nude colored, there was also no off-white, just white. White will make my ass look huge, and it doesn't need any help :) The gray I choose reminds me of Link's chain mail so it's not too bad. If I run across a good tan I'll use that though.

Shall Blue Ganon return for A Link Between Worlds? It would be cool if he does.

I sure hope not. I much prefer his human form.

Perhaps they could use this version they produced for the Oracle series?

One other detail: TWW HD in the Wii U bundle is not a physical pack-in but rather a digital download.

Also, boxart for ALBW (I can't edit posts on this computer for some reason, so apologies for the extra post):

Also the Nintendo Network icon was pointed out elsewhere- I wonder if there is an unannounced multiplayer feature of some kind?

Is the text in the mini-editor window disappearing, more options is the only way I can edit at the moment.

It is one of their better boxart for the series.

I know I'm late on this, but I'm something of a Zelda music nut, so I figured I'd watch the video and take a crack at it. ;)

0:00-1:04 - The Legend of Zelda Main Theme
1:05-1:17 - Hyrule Field (Ocarina of Time)
1:18-1:37 - Overworld (The Adventure of Link)
1:38-2:00 - Lost Woods (Ocarina of Time)
2:01-2:14 - Hyrule Field (Ocarina of Time) - redux
2:15-2:45 - Gerudo Valley (Ocarina of Time)
2:46-3:10 - This doesn't sound like anything from any Zelda game--perhaps it's original?
3:11-3:40 - The Legend of Zelda Main Theme - redux
3:41-3:45 - Lost Woods (Ocarina of Time) - redux

(Sad fact: As awesome a violinist as Lindsey Stirling is, she admitted that she's never actually played a Zelda game before. :( )
