Seriously, I was shocked. Can it really be that long ago I took my 6 y/o daughter and niece to a McDonald's to see the White Ranger. Becoming outraged when the semi decent martial artist couldn't take off the White Ranger helmet for contractual reasons. I was there to see David Jason Frank goddammit! My ex use to do an awesome Goldar impression. Who was your favorite Ranger?
Power Rangers was never my thing, but I remember when my younger cousin, when he was little, was into the Power Rangers. My mom, being the good aunt, bought him Power Rangers stuff whenever she could.
I got angry at the Drizzt book after the Transitions Trilogy when they did two different time skips (one like 100 years) and haven't read a Salvatore novel since.
I'm going assume everyone here is familiar with the Japanese Spider-Man TV series, which kicked off the Super Sentai genre in Japan, which led to the Power Rangers.
I might of said Drizzt but the cartoon is a childhood thing and Drizzt can have a bit of Batman syndrome.
I was at a con this summer with a friend who wanted to meet Billy the Blue ranger because he wanted to let him know that when he came out, he was at a low point in his own life and it meant a great deal to him. I thought that was sweet.
I used to watch this every day in college when I'd get home from class. My roommates thought I was crazy but it was just so bizzare I couldn't look away.
It was a decent show before Lord Zedd left, after that it was meh. I have no idea how the show is now, but credit to it for lasting this long.
I also still have assorted parts to my Megazord. Cannot find the Pterodactyl or Sabretooth Tiger though, and the tip of the T-rex tail snapped off. Which I kind of like it that way because without the pterodactyl, he's got both his big arms and a tiny set of rex pincers. Like he can grab the victim and then use the smaller arms to disembowel it.
