I hope the ST DVD cases are done in the same style as the I-VI ones. Creates a nice continuity. And while we're on the subject, the OT is silver and the PT gold, are we seeing bronze for ST posters, logos, ect?

I could go with either of those choices, although I will probably go straight to Blu-Ray for the ST, assuming I like it enough to buy it at all.

The OT Blu-Rays are in a blue case and the PT Blu-Rays are in a green case, so red maybe?

They could also go ruby for the ST DVD set.

I would love for their to be continuity in poster art / DVD cases etc... but it looks like Drew Struzan is retired and NOT doing the artwork.

My OT cases are gold so they match up nicely with the prequels, my family didn't understand Fullscreen was a bad thing at the time so that was what I was given.

    AHBY!

I don't have the Star Wars Blu-ray sets yet, are they in standard packaging like previous releases, or the newer Blu-ray boxes? I'd prefer to keep them separate from my original DVDs if that's at all possible.

I have both and they're easy to keep separate, the cases look nothing alike.

Back to the Future casing actually looks similar on DVD and Blu-Ray but not Star Wars.

By the time these movies come out DVD's will be a thing of the past. Blu-Ray is where it's going and at some point in time everything will be a download or Cloud based.

While things are slowly moving more towards streaming and Blu Ray, I doubt DVD's be completely phased out by then. It'll be a long time before everything is cloud based. Internet connection speeds (at least in the States) aren't fast enough for that.

DVD's? Do you listen to 8-track tapes also?

1996 was a long time ago, time for high-def. The age of the Blu-ray is here.

Just please, for the love of Waru, stop with the floating-head covers.

I specifically bought STID at Target just to get away from heads/upper torsos floating over a landscape.

We know who's in the film! Trust us. We're not infants.

When the ST comes out on DVD/BluRay/Holodisc, they'll release yet another edition of the OT and a new edition of the PT just to get us to by ANOTHER boxed set. Believe it, brothers and sisters.
