And with Darth Vader on Naboo trouble is starting next

    Part 3

But the two were still arguing when they entered the hospital.

“It’s creepy.” Jesin muttered. He had felt some unease and some pain coming from a medevac that was on approach.

“All hospitals except where Tonia has been and is working are creepy for you.”

“Doctor Grady Hut’s is nice too.”

“He is a fictional character from a very old series.”

“But the hospital where they did do the series on Corellia is real. My teacher Grady Rydell has been there for his education and has brought some of the new things seen there to the university when he returned to Tatooine. And where Tonia works now in Mos Espa is nice too.”

“I agree. Not all hospitals are creepy for you. Come get in.”

“Don’t you see those gleaming impy touches?”

“I did and I am sure it’s used by imps.”

    “Imps only Halfir.”

“We have to make sure that it isn’t broken Jesin. There is that small clinic if they don’t help us but I doubt they have the facilities. We are going in now.” Halfir steered with his still gloved hands a sulking Jesin inside the entrance and towards the receptionist at her desk.

“Greetings I am Julie Scavuzzo. What is your purpose of this visit? Ah I see. You have hurt your arm young man. It’s probably broken the way you are supporting it.”

Jesin eyed the young woman with her silky voice with disgust. “It’s not…”

“He took quite a fall and I like to see his wrist checked for breaks,” Halfir interrupted.

“Complete these registrations and I will give you the directions to the emergency department.”

“His registration too?” Jesin shook his head but saw Halfir giving a pleasant smile and reaching for the flimsies without removing his gloves and beginning to scribble very rapidly.

“He is your father I suppose and yes it is required. And give me your ID’s to check.”

Jesin saw her only giving attention to Halfir. He was indeed treated as a child. Was he looking that young in her eyes? But he saw Halfir’s hands flying over the registrations and stating that he was his son. There was something edgy about Julie Scavuzzo.

“There,” Halfir had completed the two registrations but didn’t reach for the ID’s stashed in his pouch. He just kept his eyes locked on those of the receptionist.

“Thank you mister,” Julie processed the flimsies through a scanning device.

Jesin saw the names appearing on the screen and a brief smile passed his face. Jes Noman and Han Noman were certainly funny names. And the species? Humans from Corellia! Halfir was too on to something creepy. Was this why he kept his hands gloved and influencing the receptionist?

“Here you are mister Noman,” Julie gave two cards, unfolded a map and began to point towards the emergency department. “This is the lab and the first stop for your charge Jes where blood will be examined. Uh your ID’s.”

Jesin was troubled. Why he had to visit the labs for blood-samples made no sense at all for him.

“Miss Scavuzzo, you have already checked our ID’s,” Halfir said with a soft voice.

“Uh I have,” Julie replied. “Thank you mister Noman and have a nice day.”

Halfir took Jesin by his left hand. “Come Jesin, that way.”

Jesin wasn’t in a hurry. Even less when he heard with his sharp ears a contact being established by Julie Scavuzzo and an unknown woman. Why the lab would have to test him for midi-chlorians was certainly not right. But he followed Halfir and sensed again for a moment a being in pain. ‘That medevac must have landed.’ He put up his shields, cutting himself off from the Force and wasn’t surprised to see Halfir giving him an approving nod and doing the same. And Halfir was now in a hurry. No surprise either because that medevac was his target and Jesin hurried along. Now he understood why the Force had led them to this creepy hospital and why Halfir had been messing up with the registrations and ID’s. ‘Stupid imps!’

It's the beginning of a lot of trouble. Old enemies show up (Ivano had his dealings with Setima)[face_skull]

    Part 4
On their way to the lab they passed the emergency entrance.

Halfir turned and stopped for a moment with Jesin when he heard a fire-chief directing two of his men – obviously twins –with an injured man on a stretcher. And he startled when he lowered his shield for a second and felt fright radiating from the patient and another man with impenetrable shields in place.

That had Jesin lowering his shield as well for a second, sensing the Force signature from the patient and the shield. He tensed when he heard someone aided by mechanical breathing.

Halfir whispered “adash!” And he slowed down not in a hurry at all to reach the lab when he approached a corner.

Jesin had obeyed immediately the command to shield. He kept glued to Halfir and came to a stop when his teacher halted.

They listened with their very sharp ears to a harsh conversation.

Halfir poked his head around the corner.

    Jesin did the same.

“… is coming. Get the Force sensitive patient transported tomorrow lieutenant Setima.”

“I will test him and I will see you on the Exactor.”

Lord Vader, your presence is required.”

“Yes admiral I will come immediately.”

A man with a dark swishing cloak came out of the door leading to the lab and headed to another exit where the soft sounds of an activating repulsorlift were heard.

“Vader,” Halfir whispered very softly and ducked back with Jesin. Leading his student he retraced his steps towards the ER-room where the fire-chief, the paramedics and their charge were waiting.

Jesin had recognised the dark presence. ‘I am not ‘his’ or ‘her’ patient.’ He had now eyes only for the two paramedics and uttered “hey! I recognise…”

“Shh Jesin. We will wait and see,” Halfir steered Jesin to a bench opposite the room where the chief and his crew were halting with their stretcher. They were shielded by a rack with flimsies and some advertisements on large displays but could see the ER entrance. The lab had to be avoided now at all costs. Even leaving and departing as soon as possible with the Kerebuy Hawk was a possibility.

Was this why Halfir had wanted to enter this hospital? Jesin listened to the whispered conversation of the fire-chief and his paramedics. Was the patient a Jedi?

    “Greg, halt here with Kel.”

“Yes Steven. We cannot follow in the den of the witch Setima.”

“No guys, you aren’t taking me to a witch to treat a broken leg.”

“Do you know it’s her den?”

“We only met her and she is creepy.”

“Steven, Greg, we had to avoid the storm and divert to Theed imperial hospital.”

“Imp owned captain Fiohir,” one paramedic muttered under his breath. “I know we had no choice with that sithly weather closing down the Lake Country hospital landing pad.”

“Shh not that loud, we don’t want to alert imps. Kel will be safe. He has only that broken leg to be treated. Five days in a bacta-cast and the leg will be as good as new.”

“I know Greg. I don’t worry about my leg but what worries me is the ‘imp’ written all over this place. And for a moment I felt something bad.”

“Kel if things get sithly we will try to get you out. We had to take that medevac to Theed and to this hospital equipped with a landing-pad. And we had no choice at all with imp owned air-control directing us here.”

    “Theed is infested with imps.”

Jesin gave a snug smile towards Halfir. Those rescuers and their patient didn’t like the creepy hospital either. He sat down. He had recognised Darth Vader leaving the building. And with the Sith involved here the hospital was even more creepy for him. He too had felt the fright and the Force signature from the man. The captain was keeping up strong shields and of an unknown humanoid species with his grey skin, eyes and hair and slightly pointed ears. But the twins were men he had met before. He had seen them in the Jeditemple talking to Serinka and praising him for his fruit pies. Observing the patient he saw a great resemblance to the Jedi cook.

The paramedics stopped with their soft conversation assuring Kel that they were there for him and that all patients brought by them to Theed imperial hospital had come home after being cured.

Jesin looked up. He was about to get the attention of Halfir when one woman – dressed in greens – came out of ER 2 and another came from the direction of the labs and halted before the fire-chief and his men. And that woman was good looking but certainly creepy. She was the one who had been talking to Darth Vader. ‘That smile alone; come to the witches den and be my victim.’

“We will take over Captain and your patient is…” The ‘lab’ woman with a few strands of blonde hair visible under her green cap nodded to the fire-chief and bowed down with her head to greet the yellow skinned and haired man on the stretcher.

“Tuohy doc. Kel Tuohy and I want to leave as soon as possible. I have a large property you know. I am a great supporter of the empire. Senator and now glorious emperor Palpatine has visited me often in the past. I have my shaaks to attend and my guarlara is waiting. I am sure I can ride her even with a leg in a cast. Just give me a bacta-cast.”

“That’s for the orthopedic specialist to decide. I am Ine Setima and was waiting for a patient but now you are my priority. I will help her.”

“I will guide you to our ER,” the second woman took the head end of the stretcher and began to guide it to ER 2.

“No needles please,” Kel Tuohy grumbled.

“Needles are sometimes necessary. We will wait for you Kel until the docs give us a stat,” Captain Fiohir said. “Ah there is the caf and a place to sit down.”

The two paramedics – relieved of their stretcher duty – headed with their chief to a caf machine that was near the emergency entrance.

“No needles,” Jesin muttered. “Halfir we have to do something. Those docs are…”

“Shh Jesin I am concentrating,” Halfir pointed to the door that was slightly ajar.

Jesin nodded. He heard commands from Setima ordering her colleague to take a blood-sample from the protesting man. ‘For a broken leg? This is not right.’ Looking this and that way an idea was forming in his mind. But to execute that idea he needed more hands. He had only a useful left hand. He stood up and was soon near the caf machine where the first cup was filling with the dark brown liquid.

One of the lime-green and yellow clad twins asked “some caf too young man?”

“No mister Budianski,” Jesin greeted and continued immediately with a very soft voice “we have met before and that was on Coruscant. You and you were there with Chief Joe Calistro visiting Ivano Arvedai in the Jeditemple. He needed the help of Jedi-healers. And now I need your help and hurry please.”

Will they get the patient away?
Trouble yes and more to come

    Part 5
Halfir had heard enough. He had heard the loud protests and grunts of pain uttered by the injured man until those ceased abruptly when he was sedated. The doctor with the blonde hair – Ine Setima – had done this in a rude way.

“Darth Vader sensed a patient strong in the Force coming to our facility.”

“I hope this is the one. But if not?”

“You want to use him for our biological agent tests? They were successful.”

“They killed the patients yes and the lord was satisfied but I don’t want to use him. He is or was a friend of the emperor.”

“A Sith uses even the ones dearest to him and kills without remorse. Be glad the lord was here because we scored only non humanoids with our midi-chlorian tests. It must be this Serindian man or the boy on his way to my lab. I have to test the blood of our patient and if he has enough midi-chlorians he will regret waking up.”

“And if not he will be under my care and released soon and fitted with a bacta-cast. I envy you Ine. I have to stay here to do the tests with only one in two thousand positive enough to be of interest for your boss and you are going to Byss.”

“Yes. Darth Vader has ordered me to depart tomorrow. He has collected subjects and has delivered them to Byss. I will take Julie along and you can run this side of the operation to get test-subjects for the centre on Byss. Don’t worry about him. He will be sedated until tomorrow. The blood test will take some time with the inferior equipment we have here. And I have to see if mister Jes Noman has arrived.”

Halfir saw the blonde coming out of ER 2 with a rack of test tubes and turning towards the laboratory. ‘It is indeed a creepy imp hospital.’ He was glad that he had messed up with the registration and put the cards in a pouch. And he turned the other way to see Jesin – smiling – coming his way with the paramedics as soon as he had heard Setima disappearing in the lab.

“I have hands and have a temporary splint,” Jesin pointed at his arm now encased in an orange vac splint and resting in the sling provided by the paramedics. “We can leave the hospital the way we have come.”

“We have to get patient Tuohy back. I am captain Kevin Fiohir and Jesin here explained that he had met Steven and Greg Budianski on Coruscant.”

“He is sure that our patient and friend will become a test-subject because he has midicloriuns and weird abilities,” Greg said. “We don’t want that to happen because Kel is leading one of the rebel cells here in the Lake Country district. He has an uncanny knowledge of when and where imps will show up.”

“But he is not a Jedi,” Steven added. “He was too old to be trained when a Jedi-team met him and his parents and found out about his high amount of midiclorans.”

“He has midi-chlorians and the Force,” Jesin snickered softly. The Budianski twins had been in the Jeditemple but couldn’t pronounce midi-chlorians. Kevin Fiohir could but had another word for them in his native language. “Setima shouldn’t sink her claws into Tuohy.”

Halfir stood up. “I agree but how do we snatch him back under the nose of those witches?”

“Simple,” Captain Fiohir turned to Halfir. “I have put things in motion when we provided Jesin with his vac-splint. His ulna has a clean break and is now secure. Our medevac is waiting outside.” He stomped towards the entrance of ER 2, activated his com, put it on speaker and commanded “report.”

Captain, Lake Country is asking what’s keeping us. The landing pad at the Tuohy estate is free.”

“Will contact soon after getting our patient back,” Captain Fiohir stated. “Greg, Steven inside ER 2 and transport him back to our medevac.”

    The two paramedics hurried inside.

“You cannot barge inside. I just completed the scan of the leg and want to put this cast around it.”

“He is still our responsibility and you heard the captain when he activated his com for a simple report from our pilot. Lake Country is waiting. We have to haul him back to his doctor.”

    “His doctor?”

“He owns an estate in Lake Country and has a personal doctor who is there to see him. We are sorry to have troubled you and taken some of your time to treat Kel.”

    “He is sedated Steven.”

“Sorry but doctor Setima had to sedate him with a strong sleeping med. He will be awake tomorrow.”

“And that will benefit his doctor and us. We can apply that cast. Put it on the stretcher. His doctor can treat him now without trouble.”

“Be glad you don’t have him staying here. He is hands full and big trouble.”

“Thank you again and goodbye. We will send the results of the blood tests to his home in Lake Country. I will keep his stats here to give to my colleague. We know where to find him.”

Halfir saw the two paramedics with their charge coming out of the ER and headed towards the emergency entrance. And he saw the troubled looks on Jesin’s face when they followed. Now what?

    Part 6

Greg and Steven waited inside the medevac.

“We can have him back in Lake Country but not today,” Captain Fiohir entered the medevac with Halfir and Jesin. “All landing pads in the district are closed because of the bad weather. We need a temporary refuge.”

“We are invited by Gayle Pendarvis,” Jesin said. “I have to bring this scarf back.” It was now tied around his neck.

“Gayle Pendarvis? She is our contact in Theed,” Greg began to smile.

“We can land the medevac in one of the public gardens and walk to her home,” Captain Fiohir had his datapad out and was consulting a map of Theed.

“We have to get back in the hospital,” Halfir stated. “Someone can have seen us hurrying after you. Jesin has been with you. I have to convince Scavuzzo that my son has been treated by a friendly paramedic. That way there is a connection between you and us. And it is not related to patient Tuohy. We will meet at the Pendarvis home.”

Jesin was silent until he was inside and couldn’t see patients or medical staff. He knew that Halfir was taking precautions but whispered “she kept Tuohy’s stats and knows where to find him.”

“Don’t worry Jesin about things we can do nothing about,” Halfir replied with a very soft voice and more loudly when he was near the reception area “we will be in our hotel soon after meeting her.”

“Not again dad,” Jesin muttered. He knew what Halfir wanted but acting wasn’t difficult at all with the receptionist raking her eyes over him.

“Ah they have fitted your son with a cumbersome splint,” Julie Scavuzzo observed for a moment her screen to see who was responsible before turning to Halfir. “Who did that?”

“A very kind and skilled paramedic we met on our way to the lab,” Halfir replied. “He could use the modern vac-splints now made possible by the excellent trade conditions because of the glorious empire. We could avoid the needles you see. My son is scared of them.”

“Lucky for him that doctor Setima was and is busy with another emergency but you have to come back tomorrow,” Julie turned now to Jesin. “That splint has to be replaced by a bacta-cast and you have to take the lab test to determine your allergies.”

Jesin had seen the pleased looks on her face when Halfir praised the empire but saw now only the greedy woman raking her eyes over him. She wanted him back tomorrow because she loved to supply Setima with another test subject.

“No problem Miss Scavuzzo,” Halfir stated. “But I will stay with my son when they do the tests and fit him with the cast.”

“Dad I don’t,” Jesin acted the frightened kid.

“Come Jes, we have to head to our hotel-room. It has been a long day. See you tomorrow.” Halfir steered Jesin to the exit.

A cliffie and you have to wait more than a week[face_devil]

    Part 7

Getting to the Pendarvis home took some time for Jesin and Halfir. They wanted to make sure that no one was following them. A stop at a cantina was included where some drinks were ordered. And they entered the hotel – given on the hospital record as their residence – got some drinks in the bar and left it walking through the garden and finding a back-door that had them in the public garden where the medevac was parked.

Pilot Cathy Swidler was hauling two stretchers out of the medevac and was glad that Halfir could help her getting them to the large kitchen of the Pendarvis home. The kitchen had become the residence of the paramedics who had to care for Kel Tuohy after fitting his leg with the bactacast.

The Budianski twins told about their departure from Coruscant and the joining of the Lake District fire department. They had been devastated when they heard about the order to exterminate the Jedi and had formed a rebel cell. Captain Kevin Fiohir had helped them. He – as a Force sensitive varankonin – had to keep out of the clutches of the empire.

Alysa came to the kitchen. She had been transporting the merchandise from Tatooine to one of Gayle’s rebel friends.

Jesin gave the scarf back to Alysa and followed her when she took him on a tour of the Pendarvis home. He was amazed by the computer controlled devices and the large underground hangar where the Hamalk queen had her berth.
Alysa took him inside the submersible, gave him a large glass of blue milk when she showed the galley and steered him to the cockpit. The maps with the great subterranean oceans and where she could guide the Hamalk queen into the atmosphere and beyond were very interesting. Jesin noticed the transponder codes of the ship. If needed Gayle and Alysa could escape from Naboo unnoticed using one of the codes. And the submersible could take any exit through one of the oceans. She told him some about her home-planet Hamalk and how she had gotten her job with Gayle.

Jesin was tired after the exciting day. He retired to the room given to him after getting the assurance from Halfir that Messy and the Kerebuy Hawk were safe. Boots and socks were doffed but the rest of his clothes had to stay. Vac-splint and sling prevented that and he didn’t want to bother Halfir staying in a room next to his. The window was difficult to open with one hand. He tried and quit after the second try.
But did he fall asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow?
No, the icky and cumbersome vac-splint kept him tossing and turning in the bed until well past midnight.

    - - -

Ine Setima was satisfied if only a bit when she raked with her dirty hands through her hair. The test had turned out a positive on a high account of midi-chlorians. She had heard that the Serindian man was taken out of the hospital by the Lake Country medics. But she wasn’t worried to get him back. The first thing she had done was injecting the patient with one of the old trackers. They were not sophisticated but could have the receptionist following the patient.
Julie had assured her that Tuohy was still in Theed and she had the address of the man in Lake Country. And the receptionist had come with more good news. The Nomans had failed to turn up but would return tomorrow.
Ine could wait. She would get three test-subjects tomorrow before heading to the Exactor.
Darth Vader had been almost sure when he told her that he had felt three presences in the Force.

Back from my trip with my mom and here is the next chapter ending in[face_skull][face_worried]

    Part 8

Jesin had his eyes squinting from lack of sleep when he opened them to glare in the morning sun. It had become rather warm and stuffy in the room. “Icky splint,” was grumbled when swung his feet to the floor and padded to the fresher. He had to go and urgently at that. He relieved himself and was closing his pants when the breathtaking view of the Solleu River and what was in the streets had him running on bare feet to his door. There was a green figure in an open groundspeeder leading an ambulance and a squad of stormtroopers on speederbikes. He had opened himself for a moment to the Force and was sure it was Ine Setima when he felt her signature. They were coming towards the home. But why?

A second door opened. “What’s up Jesin? Ah don’t tell.”

“Trouble,” Jesin bolted down the stairs.

Halfir shook his head and entered Jesin’s room. He saw Setima and troops crossing a bridge and turning down an avenue. They were coming this way. He grabbed boots and socks and ran after Jesin.

Jesin was about to enter the kitchen when Halfir caught up with him.

“Jesin there is time enough. They are using groundspeeders and bikes and don’t want to disturb the sleeping inhabitants that much.”

“Ah thank you.” Jesin – helped by Halfir – donned his socks and boots when the kitchen door opened to reveal the sleepy face of Greg Budianski.

    “What’s up guys?”

“Stormtroopers and Setima are headed this way,” Jesin shouted. That would wake up everyone in the house.

“Why?” Some noise from men leaving the stretchers mingled with men donning gear and standing up came from the kitchen.

Captain Fiohir came to the door. “Are you sure they are headed this way?”

“I recognised Setima in the Force,” Jesin nodded. “She is after her test subject but how?” He entered with Halfir the kitchen and heard another door opening.

Steven Budianski was next to the stretcher with the sedated Kel Tuohy and the ‘how’ had him beginning to peel away a bandaid.

Captain Fiohir knelt down and pointed to the arm. “Setima has injected him with a tracker. Look; there is a large bulge on his arm.”

“The tracker was injected through the skin causing a large bruise. There was reason enough for him to protest,” Halfir knelt down and probed with his fingers over the bulge. “You can remove it without trouble but with imps knowing your identities you are not safe anymore on Naboo.”

    “What?”

Jesin turned and saw Gayle – in her nightgown and on bare feet – standing in the doorway.

“Yeah I had to transmit our medevac ID before entering Theed airspace and coming towards the hospital and our crew is well known in Theed,” Captain Fiohir shrugged with his shoulders. “We had more dealings with Setima.”

“I had to help her two months ago when she was intubating a patient,” Greg had a disgusted look on his face. “I don’t know where she got her licence.”

“Some sithly place where they developed this,” Steven grabbed a knife from the table and slid that through the bulge. “We can worry about infections later but this has to go.” Blood spurted from the wound but he scooped up the tracker with a towel and gave it to Cathy.

“I have a way to deal with this nasty thingie,” Cathy had a small smile on her face when she saw some familiarity in the bloody piece. “It is a general tracker and not that accurate. I can put it in the medevac.”

“It will cost Lake Country a medevac but yes do it Cathy,” Captain Fiohir knew what she was planning.

“Imps on a wild tracker hunt,” Greg began to laugh. “But it has us here and nowhere to go.”

A second door opened. “What’s up Jesin? Ah don’t tell.”

“Trouble,” Jesin bolted down the stairs.

With you, dear bird, it is always a thin line between trouble & fun. :p

    Part 9

Jesin saw the troubled looks on the face of Gayle Pendarvis. With Setima and stormtroopers coming to her home she feared for her safety. Her role in the rebellion on Naboo was now being compromised. But he remembered Alysa and her folks on Hamalk and saw eyes lighting up for a moment when Gayle turned to him.

“We have the way to go somewhere,” Gayle retreated a few steps back in the corridor and banged on a door leading to the private quarters of her associate. It opened and a sleepy head became visible. “Alysa ready the Hamalk queen! I will tell you more when I join you.”

Alysa nodded and spurted in her nightgown into the kitchen and to a door. “This corridor is leading to the basement where you will find me.” She was awake and alert.

“Cathy; join us as soon as you are ready,” Captain Fiohir began to collect his gear.

“Our rebel friends in Lake Country will know that we won’t return but I don’t mind,” Cathy said. “We are all bachelors and can begin our rebel cell anew someplace else.”

Steven and Greg became very busy with the stretcher and their sleeping patient.

Jesin felt the determination of the paramedics to remain in the rebellion. He had to help getting them away.

“Cathy you have enough time to ready the medevac. We will slow down Setima,” Halfir said.

“And I can destroy compromising evidence. Your trade with me will be erased. The Tatooine merchandise is already with the rebels. Cathy you have ten minutes before this place goes boom,” Gayle headed to her office where the voice-operated computer was. “M six dash four five regular.”

    Master.”

“Execute purge order Tatooine 24. Execute order six six seven immediately code one zero dash six zero zero.”

Purge Tatooine 24 executed. Six zero zero countdown can start, waiting for irrevocable command.”

    “Zero, zero, destruct zero.”

    600, 599, 598…”

“Our business with Gayle is gone from the books.” Jesin saw the paramedics disappearing and heard Gayle directing her computer. “How do we slow down Setima?”

    587, 586, 585, 584…”

“She is dressed in greens. We can show her your wrist and have her arguing with you.”

Jesin began to smile and followed Halfir towards one of the exits. They spurted down alleys, took turns and were back in the street leading to the Pendarvis home when Setima and her troops entered the street.

Halfir gave a small wave with his hand and began to cross the street guiding Jesin.

The open groundspeeder came to a halt.

“Hey you were the patient Jes Noman scheduled to meet me. And you must be his father Han Noman. My receptionist told me about a young man with his right arm in a vac-splint. You qualify.”

“Are you a doctor?” Jesin eyed Ine Setima with her sweet smile. “Do you know how this icky thing can be removed?”

“I am a doctor and can remove your vac-splint,” Ine smiled.

“Ah you know that this is a vac-splint,” Jesin grinned inwardly. “I know all about the icky thingies. You can remove it and replace it with a bacta-cast but first you have to make sure that your patient isn’t allergic to bacta and for that you have to do some quite annoying tests. See I have experienced those tests before and…”

“Young man come as soon as possible to Theed imperial hospital,” Ine interrupted. “I will treat you.”

“Uh what?” Jesin felt the impatience radiating from the doctor and gave Halfir a soft nudge. “No way.”

“Jes Noman? You must be mistaken. Who is Han Noman?” Halfir had his eyes glued on those of Setima and was influencing her and her troopers.

“You are Han Noman,” Ine stated with an uncertain voice.

“I am not and he isn’t Jes Noman,” Halfir had now a very soft voice and waved with his hand. “We are not Noman.”

“You are not the Noman family,” Ine Setima repeated. “Uh can I do something for you?”

“My friend Nobie No Binks was treated ten days ago in a hospital in Lake Country,” Halfir stated. “They scanned his wrist and decided that the vac-splint had to stay because it kept the wrist stable enough to heal without complications.”

“I will welcome the day that it can leave my uncomfortable presence,” Jesin gave the splint a scowling look. He didn’t have to act at all. He was sure that Doctor Callis would let him keep it around his wrist for the next two weeks.

“Young man I wish you a good recovery but I have business elsewhere,” Ine stated. “Captain follow me.”

Jesin and Halfir slipped into an alley to continue their way to the hangar and waited behind a stack of bins. They listened to the conversation between Ine and her troops.

“The tracker is stationary doctor and in a public garden,” the stormtrooper pilot of the groundspeeder pointed to a display.

“Come let’s see who is hiding my test-subject. I should have gotten him yesterday.”

“Don’t worry lieutenant Setima. Maybe we find more test-subjects.”

“Maybe but mister Tuohy is a nice catch. He must have the Force.”

“No, now we have movement. Monitoring transmissions… The medevac is going towards Lake Country… They have two guests aboard with patient Tuohy.”

“Contact the Exactor and have them following the medevac… We will proceed to…”

A muffled explosion was heard followed by a stormtrooper yelling “Lieutenant fire coming from the same direction where our target was.”

“We have to capture the medevac. Darth Vader will have more test-subjects. I will return to the hospital and take a shuttle to the Exactor after instructing Julie to wait for Noman to show up and transport him and his dad to the Exactor. I will be there to welcome the medevac crew and their patient and his guests.”

“No man will come,” Jesin grinned when he continued down the alley. He saw a big black cloud belching skywards from the place where the Pendarvis home had been. It would be destroyed when the fire had run its course and imperials could enter it to search for evidence.
