So I just went to heat up a single cup of coffee, which this roommate saw me doing, went back into my room to wait for it to be done. Came back out, he already drank it. IT WAS ONLY ONE CUP THAT WAS CLEARLY MINE. I'm just going to move the coffee stuff into my room and call it a day. People suck.

Nope he's like...late 20's. Lived with a lot of different people, ex military etc. He knows better. I didn't say anything because I have a pretty awful temper and I didn't want to cross the line. The other roommate already yelled at him for it, but there's really not a lot we can do because this guy is clearly...really stupid and selfish. So I'll replace all his coffee with decaf and "accidentally" lock the kittens in his room so they piss everywhere.

No one, and I mean no one, should **** with somebody's coffee. At the very least, you should've cursed him, his ancestors and his progeny (if he manages to spawn any, that is). Your idea of payback sounds adequate enough, but...his punishment should be more severe.

 

No, seriously. I can tolerate people taking my coffee if I make more than 2 cups but if it was the only cup I'd be pretty pissed off. I mean, I'm getting pissed off at your roommate already and I don't even know him. Next time you see him, punch him in the throat and tell him I said hi.

 

Have him cough up some dough and make it the coffee that everyone drinks so no matter who drinks it it's no loss to anyone.

Long ago and far away I moved into a house with my best friend, his gf, and his mother. There are many nightmares I might describe but coffee became a rather odd issue. His mother would get up, get ready for work, make an entire pot of coffee, take one cup and leave. I asked... i asked... to drink said coffee or else it would go to waste. After I left this horrid place for other reasons I learned later I was demonized for "dinking all their coffee."

Whew. Flashback.

You're a way better person than I am. I probably would have started a fight. I got pissed off just reading that and it's not even my coffee.

 

I'd just love to hear the other side of this argument. I can't even imagine what that would look like. How could someone ever justify this behavior to themselves? What kind of a sick, subspecies of human is this thing you're dealing with? We need to get it into captivity to learn more about its habits so we may discover how to defeat it should it ever attack in greater numbers than one. At least, I hope this is an isolated incident.

 

I actually agree with wanasee that your bf, as the third member of your house share, shouldn't be letting this punk mess with your ****. You shouldn't have to hide your stuff. if its not coffee, it'll be something else if the two of you let this go on.
