According to this book, Palpatine stored his master's remains in a vase in his office in the Senate Executive Building.

Is this news to anyone else? It seems Plagueis was in the PT, after all!
So, we have his lightsaber in a statue, Plagueis in an urn, what next? Mara Jade was trapped in a hidden compartment as a child growing up just next door?

He was probably daring Plagueis to try to come back to life. Sounds like his sense of humor.

If Plagueis were to resurrect, what better way for him to try and urn back his title of Master?

And here I thought he'd have snorted up the ashes to get high after he finally got to proclaim the empire. :D

I really hope Episode VII uses this idea and throughout the film saga, Plagueis was reconstituting himself in that urn like the T-1000.

That urn contains the ashes of Palpatine's dear, sweet grandmother.

"What's so special about that urn, Chancellor?"

"Oh, nothing important, just a little something from my younger days...."

It'd be cool if that Hyperspace War frieze in his office was really an actual battle being waged by midget people that some old Sith carbon-froze for a joke.

I'm hijacking this thread to ask a question of dire importance. DOES DARTH PLAGUEIS CANONICALLY HAVE A NOSE?

    ...does it matter?

Voldemort had this problem before Plagueis did.

Maybe the urn contained Plagueis' nose.

Would have been better if Palpatine used the force to fling the ashes into Mace Windu's face.

Plagueis isn't in here! It's just some chocolate milk mix! It's not even good chocolate milk mix!

    Jello has it right.

I could see Plagueis trying to resurrect himself from the urn à la Voldemort, and Palpatine shooting some Force lightning out and muttering "Get back in there you son of a *****."

That would mean that Mace Windu would survive, but with some kind of deformed Plagueis head growing out of his chest or something.

Given TFU toyed with having both Plagueis and a Mace Windu ghost, I really like the idea of Starkiller being trained by both Mace and Plagueis growing out of his chest Kuato style.

He had nostrils, you mean. His apprentice stole them, and now they're the Nostrils of Palpatine™.

I don't think Palpatine needed Plagueis' nostrils, but the Sith always want more.
