PT Did Mace survive after his fall?

I'm not sure if Mace ever learned how to become a Force Ghost like Qui Gon.

 

So...you accuse someone of being "arrogant and bland" in the movie....but you trust someone that had virtually no screen time and what? 4-5 words of dialogue? then he get's killed.

yah I can see why you'd "trust" him.....

I agree with Mace being arrogant and bland (I kept waiting for a few "mf'ers to be thrown out during his convo's...he felt like Sam Jackson in a SW movie instead of an actual character in the movie)....but I'll never understand how people can base things off a brief screen presence (of seconds most-times) and little to no dialogue....(I'm looking at you Plo and Squid-head..whatever his name is.)

 

Well, I did meet a woman once who had fallen 3 stories and landed on her back and head and somehow survived with basically only a blind eye as permanent damage, but Windu's fall was without a doubt from higher than 3 stories. He's dead. Plus throw the Sith lightning into the equation and he's dead for sure. Unless, of course, they come up with a good explanation of how he somehow survived and he's in the new films...

 

Yeah, there's no way he would have the strength to break his fall after that last lightning strike — especially falling down twenty stories.

 

Exactly. Though I think that when talking about multiple story falls, surviving usually depends entirely on luck. For instance, how you hit the ground, what you happen to land on, and to a small degree your overall resilience and health. Basically once you start falling from several stories there's no telling how you'll land.

 

The only way I would accept Mace's survival is if they filmed an Episode III.V, which would have Windu, Kenobi, and maybe even Ahsoka regrouping with the surviving Jedi to make a last stand attempt at destroying the clone production and overthrowing Vader and the Emperor. Hell, even renaming TPM as Episode Prologue, AOTC as Episode I, and ROTS as Episode II would work, too.

It's not too late to do this, Disney. And I'm sure the actors (Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, Ian McDiarmid, James Earl Ray, Jimmy Smits) would be happy to climb aboard, too.

 

Neither did Anakin. And he somehow got the Force Ghost 2.0 firmware update where you can alter your appearance.

 

I'm hoping he is dead.

It's safe to say that he didn't but, who know. Darth Maul coming back into canon is the equivalent of the Death and Return of Superman. Because now, anyone can come back. No matter how grievous the injury.

 

Pun intended?

 

But yeah, he didn't survive, and I find it hard to believe fans would accept it in the same way that they did Darth Maul if he showed up with a robot hand and an eye patch. It would also take away the impact of Anakin turning on one of the standing Council Members, and in essence, bringing about his death.

 

Can you catch a ghost on camera?

 

Well, we saw Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin in Ghost form so yes you can catch a ghost on camera

I think the question should be did Mace survive Palpatine's lightning attack, and no, I don't think so.

I was absolutely sure that the mute, Black and red Sith apprentice that was sliced in half and cast down a ventilation tube (or whatever the heck it was) HAD to be dead, without a doubt!

but of course I was wrong on that one! With that being the case, whether or not Mace is really dead would be anyone's guess I suppose...

 

The guy who killed Martin Luther King, Jr. has been dead for 15 years.
