I wear my wedding ring, and my engagement ring...women get two rings

I also always, always, always wear my Hanson pendant around my neck. No other jewelery,ever.

 

My wife wears both of her rings, plus earrings and usually a necklace of some sort as well as a "mother's ring" I got her.

 

My dad used to never wear his wedding ring. Then his daughters got old enough to bug him about it and he started to wear it

I know at least one guy that wears his ring on a chain around his neck why.

 

I seriously hate purolator. My new modem came yesterday and it never occurred to the driver I might not be there because I'm at work. Didn't leave a notice they were even there at all and said I had to call them to give them the correct address? Are you kidding me? The index box is sitting right by the door and they could've looked up the buzzer code. I mean that is what it's there for.

With Fed Ex they leave it with my landlord or leave a note.

It's bad enough I have to deal with them at work on a daily bases and the drivers oh don't even get me started.

I would be more afraid of losing it if it were on a chain around my neck then if it was on my finger.

 

Falcon, years ago, when I had a roommate and shared a house, she had a box of checks delivered. We all thought they never came. Then it rained a lot months later and they washed up in the driveway, the whole box of checks. The driver who delivered them hid them somewhere. And we never found them until the yard flooded.

 

I know a lot of people in food service wear it on a chain because they're constantly washing their hands.

Some delivery drivers aren't very good... I got a package and the guy didn't even knock, just left it. So it got rained on.

the drivers are incompetent or don't care. Not sure which at this point. And now I discovered my package was delivered to the depo right by my work I was just there two hours ago. That's on the other side of town. Might as well go on Monday after work.

but I want my new modem now and I only have a certain amount of time to return the old one.

 

As someone who has worked for both UPS and FedEx in years past I can tell you, they just don't care.

 

I would seriously consider waiting until Monday, because I'd be factoring in how much it would cost me in gas to drive back there. I am crazy frugal. That does suck though....I'm sorry

I would go Monday too. I like to do as much as possible at once. Don't know if that makes me lazy or efficient.

On the other side of town is a 12 minute drive, which isn't too bad...

 

12 minute drive...other side of town. Wow the other side of town, unless you are traveling in the middle of the night when there is absolutely nothing going on and no roads under construction it would take me an hour to get to the other side of town.

My husband went to pick up a pizza, I'm starving....hope he gets back soon.

 

We live in the middle of town. 15 minutes either way to the edge.

My dinner's still got 25 minutes. I haven't eaten since 1:30 so I'm tempted to eat it half cooked.

The other side of my town is small too. It's nice makes me think of Faulkner for some reason

I'm more or less on the same side of town of work and the depo. Taking this one street cuts straight to the other side and it only takes 20 minutes on a bad day.

I'm on the north west side of town and they are on the south east side of town but it's pretty much same side of the city.

I avoid the main roads and cut over on a side road there isn't many stop lights or stop signs so that helps

Here you have to take side roads during rush hour, otherwise the motorway will be the fastest.
I wish we had side roads with no traffic lights though.
