Will the Ghost crew actually fight in battles?

 

Anyone else see the teaser tonight?
Just a recreation of 4's opening, but I was so excited. It's something!

 

That Death Star weakness? That was only there because a group of kids removed the exhaust shield!

 

The OS just posted the video, but it's still private... 9:02 for everyone?

And then between 9:00 and 9:02 ET it disappeared. Argh? Argh.

And then it came back again- still private.

 

So I wonder which Jedi we'll actually see now that the teaser has confirmed them?

 

I didn't interpret that as confirmation that Jedi will appear.

 

Lucasfilm has posted the teaser:

If that's the animation style for the show then this series is going to have potential...now we just need to see how the characters are going to be rendered.

 

The TCW audience will be like, "but the Clones are the good guys".

 

Why else would they use the words Jedi and Force in the teaser if at least one Jedi wasn't some part of the show(or maybe they were hinting at Vader and Palpatine)? Even if we don't so what, that's just my interpretation of what we've been given thus far.

 

I felt like they were talking about the OT.

 

I know the teaser isnt much and I'll admit to being disappointed with its nothingness but I think they are saving the good stuff for NYCC this Saturday.

 

No doubt about that.

 

A couple of things:
- I liked the animation.
-Seems fairly close to ANH due to "a rebel alliance will be formed"; please no Ahsoka, though.

Disappointing trailer.

 

The animation doesn't look much different from TCW to me. Its a little bit softer with bolder colors and dark outlines bringing out the details almost like inking lines. Gives a slight simulation of a 2D drawing in colorful 3D form. Nifty. Not convinced this is what Rebel's animation will early look like. The trailer is pretty blah but its not surprising. I'm not expecting to learn much yet. We'll see what happens at NYCC.

 

It looks promising!!!

 

It's not much to go on, but it looks good to me. We'll see soon enough how that fits with a 3D animated look that's said to be inspired by McQuarrie's concept art.

 

That 15-second trailer...I cringe just thinking of it.

Whoever was narrating that disaster ought to be punched in the face. I can't stand that obnoxious voice. "ONLY ON DISNEY EXX-DEEE!!! OH YEAH!"

The entire trailer reminded me of those advertisements for cheesy movies, shows, toys, and other scams that target small children.

Just watching it tells me they will have an even less regard for the EU and canon. I mean, really? The Jedi will RISE? WHAT?!?!?!

Hate to be a Negative-Nancy but this just looks ridiculous. Soon we're gonna have some happy Jedi with their lightsabers waving them around and singing.
