    Why does it have to be explained "in universe"? Those explainations are rarely any good anyway.

    They should just do it. Fans are smart enough to figure it out.

    There will be nods, maybe a character name here and there, novels set in the ST / movie novelization moreso. Full-on canon-fitting integration perfectly into the timeline? Nope.

    We would have to have a smaller 2 hour cut first, then wait for an extended cut like every other movies for dvd and blu ray. Most movies that come on Extended edition end up sucking really bad, except for the Troy directors cut and the lord of the rings extended edition turned out awsome as :eek: and the hobbit will be good too.

    Terminator 2 had a horrible extended edition and the only good scene was when sarah connor had a dream about rease kyle!

    Anyways I hope if the do a star wars extended editon of each of the sequel movies of episodes 7, 8 and 9, it better be good. But I think we have a 1 in a million chance of Star wars extended edtions and episode 3 should of been that way of an extended edition to show more details!
