I seem to recall a field of some kind protects the Savage Land.

A completely fictional element can work any way you want. You are literally making all the rules. It can be whatever you want.

That's manifestly different than getting actual facts wrong. Especially when those facts are being used to establish the real world setting in the first place.

What's that? I couldn't hear you, since I'm climbing a camel up the Alps to see Machu Piccu. Here's a map of my location.

The real point here is that thanks to your nit-picking we know that you are versed in Mesoamerican cultures and you've visited Peru. :p

Isn't that the point of nerd rage every single time? "Bow before my superior knowledge/wealth/whatever, plebeians".

    I. I make absolutely no claim whatsoever to be well-versed or even conversant in Mesoamerican cultures. I am demonstrably not.

II. *Every* post I make is "bow before my superiority, dirty plebs" so "nerd rage" isn't really an additional justification.

III. I have, however, visited Peru and I can confirm that there are absolutely no Tesseract fragments there. [face_not_talking]

I bet she would have made it to her work out on time if she hadn't stopped to do her makeup first.

I hear an association of professional boxers are offended by her lack of footwork and planning a boycott.

Good to know the tags will continue the Marvel tradition. Though one has to wonder how they can do an episode called "Eye Spy" and have everyone not expect more Fury... ;)

Also good to know that the ratings for the second episode actually built from the debut's audience once DVR 3-day figures are factored in. It's kinda expected with genre shows over the past 5 years. At least we're now in an age where those figures get heavier consideration (as we mourn the past DVR casualties of Sci-Friday... @};-).

Yes, this show does indeed air on Tuesdays. :p

Am I missing something with Melinda May? I don't get the appeal. She seems just as generic as everyone else.

Another thing about the temple, a number of old horror films mistakenly list Transylvania as being in Germany and not Romania. That doesn't mean that you cannot enjoy said film, just don't take it so seriously. This is why "The Big Bang Theory" is able to make fun of geek culture. We get too wound up about trivial things.

She's hot, a badass and has a mystery about her. That's petty much a recipe for piqued interest.

No, BBT is able to make fun of geek culture by playing up stereotypes and adding canned laughter after any word with more then 2 syllables. "OMG they just said 'Battlestar Galactica'! [face_laugh]" [face_plain]

But yes, people are getting worked up over nothing.

Canned laughter...people laughing when a light up sign tells them to. Same thing.
