Harry Potter -I only saw parts of 1 &/or 2
James Bond - I've seen a few of these but I just plain don't like Bond and can't be bothered to give it the thought
Pirates of the Caribbean- The first was ok, 2 not as much and haven't seen the rest
Twilight um, no thanks
Fast & Furious- I hink I saw the first and that's why I ignored the rest
Mission Impossible- saw the first, didn't care
Predators/AvP saw the first and the one with Larry Fishburne. First was better
Die Hard- 1,3,2,4
Mummy/Scorpion king- bad, bad, bad
Terminator 1,2,4,3
Rocky 1,4, 2/3
Bourne 1, 2, 3
Underworld never saw any
Resident Evil never saw any
American Pie 1, 2 ,3(I think), is there a 4th?

There are entirely too many sequels, prequels, spin-offs and reboots

(I don't count the remakes)

Anyway, back to Star Wars, guys

 

Awww. I only saw Dawn. And I also forgot the Thin Man series(best comedy series evah!). Powell and Loy are the best on-screen couple in the history of cinema.

No, keep everything about the non-SW rating threads over in JCC.

It's a good idea, but if we end up with regular Batman/X-Men/Superman/Star Trek et al stuff in here, it'll hijack the thread - and Saga is for Star Wars only.
Check with one of the JCC mods if you've got any ideas about how best to keep the threads active.

I don't dislike any of the SW movies as such, but the prequels had a bit of a plot hole problem.

In terms of quality I think ANH and AOTC outperform TROJ, but I have a soft spot for the last one, as it is when I've got to see Vader to redeem himself and to become one with the force.

On the other hand, The Phantom Menace was the first Star Wars movie that I've ever seen, when my dad took me to the cinema. I was seven years old, and I remember I enjoyed it very much. I guess it's the most childlike movie of the saga, and Ewan McGregor feels now a little out of balance compared with the other two.

The last 4 tend to shuffle around a bit for me, but this is how I feel right now

 

Actually scratch that, ESB has always been on the bottom for me. For some reason I just don't like it as much as the others. I just feel it gets a bit slow in the middle of the film, whereas the others don't IMO.

 

I think you're the first person here to put all three PT film in your top 3. I commend you for both your bravery and your good taste.

I hate to break it to you guys but there are a load of sock-accounts on this site and all over social media, so you can never trust any poll on the internet. Trust me, I have talked to a few people off the record here (OOT fans and PT fans) and they admitted to having mutiple accounts to make it seem as though their opinion is more prevailent here.

Never trust anyone's opinion 100% that you don't talk to face to face. Heck, George Lucas or Gary Kurtz could have multiple accounts here.

 

This has been brought up 3 or 4 times in THIS VERY THREAD. Apparently the mods are watching for socks in this thread.
And another thing, if socks are being used, then its OT fans stuffing the ballot, as you can see by the vote numbers.

Umm...no offense, but my post had nothing to do with the "prevalence" of my opinion or anyone else's for that matter. Jarren_Lee_Saber simply said that, of the people who posted here, Darkslayer was the first person who had put all three of the PT films as his top three. Given that I know I had responded to this thread a while ago, I simply went back and pulled up my post to show that Darkslayer wasn't the first to say so. Now, I didn't intend to put Jarren_Lee_Saber or Darkslayer down or anything, it was just something I wanted to note for fun -- to show that Darkslayer wasn't alone.

All I meant was that it was nice that one other person held the PT in as high esteem as I do -- not that everyone else agrees with me. I don't really know what that has to do with "sock accounts." Unless the idea that two people could think the PT films are the best in the Saga is so ridiculous to you that you think Darkslayer and I are the same person. Just to disprove this notion, though, I can go ahead and confirm that we're not.

It's because like many on this board, I grew up with Star Wars. However, I didn't grow up with the OT, I grew up with the PT. At the same time however, my dad and my brother (who I experienced Star Wars with when I was young) were also in different generations of Star Wars. My dad prefers the OT, for obvious reasons, I prefer the PT, again for obvious reasons, and my brother prefers TCW, because he was not old enough to really get the deeper stuff of Star Wars when we fist watched it. So that gives me a bit of a unique perspective on things. I am not afraid to say that I like a certain era of SW best, because in the end you are going to like what you were first exposed in a meaningful way to. My dad, my brother and I are all OK with liking different stuff, however, we know it's stupid to call a certain part of the saga "crap," because at the end of the day we all grew up with and prefer different parts of Star Wars. But that's the great thing about all 3 (soon to be 4) eras of Star Wars - it's all the same thing, just a different spin.
