    The third episode apparently beat out NCIS in the key demo- something the first two episodes did not.

    "Hoping for something and then losing it is worse than never hoping at all."

    I loved this quote from Skye. I found her insufferable for most of the episode but it was interesting to see her get some background and development, and I thought for a few minutes that she might actually join Quinn.

    Coulson was better in this episode than he was in the last one. And Professor Hall--interesting "grey" character there. I like his invention and his attempt to protect it from Quinn, even if he went about it wrong.

    And Agent May wants back in the field? SWEET.

    Be a scientist. Watch any TV show. Get over this issue quickly, or just turn off all shows entirely.

    I just find the show insulting. There is nothing clever about it at all.


    On the subject of the show itself, I always took it to be a case that it would take a couple of weeks, even half the season for it to find it's feet. They're getting tighter with the writing and characters, and once they stop setting up many of the mysteries and working into them it will get even better.

    There is nothing to "get over." We playfully noted that they got something wrong, and people acted like their mother's grave had just been desecrated. If there's anything for anyone to "get over," it's the hyper-sensitivity to criticism displayed by some of this show's fans.

    It's not super surprising, they have the Marvel name on it and if they mention Iron Man or any of the other little Easter eggs every episode the fans will say how cool it is regardless of the quality. And SLJ making an appearance as well.

    Hopefully this marks the end of NCIS. Bah, it's probably wishful thinking on my part. Besides, it was only one episode. Once it's consistently beating it out, I'll cry tears of joy.
