Amph Agents of SHIELD Discussion Thread (and Slingshot)

Well they can make a Inhumans movie... Soooo....

 

I felt that this one had a sort of forwards lean, like it's rushing to show us a lot - I liked it, but I can see why others might not.

Also, Lazy, Inhumans aren't Mutants, though they're pretty similar.

Very likely because it's the last episode before November sweeps. Repeat (or no ep) next week -- starting again on 05-Nov.

 

This show is awful. I want to like it, but I just can't seem to get into it.

It does seem to be a possibility.

 

I personally, hope not. Part of the show's appeal for me, is that these are mostly original characters without having to have much in the way of foreknowledge of the comics to have to understand and get to know them.

 

So episode seven's title is "The Hub"

Speaking of possible comic book characters in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D...

 

That was a more violent show this time around, especially with the doctor's melting scene. I wonder if Centipede might just be a name for Hydra. I liked the faster pace of this episode.

 

I think all the super-villain organisations in the show should be named after 80's arcade games; I would look forward to SHIELD testing their mettle against the might of Dig Dug, the henchmen of Frogger, and the unruly hordes of Ms Pac-Man.

 

Hopefully they save Tapper for an Iron Man villain

I understand this viewpoint. I, too, want to like it more than I do right now, yet the pretty people in it, the Flying Bus and SLJ's cameo haven't made me not forget sometimes that it's on. Reading all the comments here make it advisable that I try at least to watch The Avengers movie at some point to figure out who Coulson is. Skye is likable thus far and seems the focal point of the entire show, standing in for the audience as we, too, learn as we go about this group, I'm ready for the disparate plot threads to begin to coalesce. This is the first Whedon program I've ever watched *runs away, fast*

 

After seeing the trailer for The Winter Soldier, I sort of want that vibe from Agents of SHIELD.

 

Thats what I thought we were getting and thats why I can't get into this show

 

Oh man. Hockey doesn't start still nine for once so I could of caught this episode but no, its a repeat. It's like someone doesn't want me watching this show.

 

Where is my Halloween episode?? I wanted one and it was a rerun Tuesday.

 

I'm having the exact same problem. My friends and wife have already quit watching because of initial disappointment with the show's overall quality. I keep watching, though, with hopes of liking it more or being able to appreciate something in it. But as is, the show doesn't do anything at all for me. Uninteresting characters, cheesy acting, and shoddy plots are slowly encouraging me to remove this from my DVR programming.

Definitely the least interesting Joss Whedon program I've ever watched...and what stings worse is that the premise was so tantalizing.
