Wait is that Kyp? If it is, I so have to make a meme of him with that smug grin.

Dang, I didn't realize just how many images there were that depicted events from the JA trilogy. I love the image of Cilghal and Leia entering Ackbar's house, and what appears to be an iHome on his floor.

Isn't that the temple that shows up in Jedi Academy? As in, the game?

It sure looks a heck of a lot like it to say the least.

I have a question about one of those pics.

What is it? A lava monster or some kind of force power that summoned a dragon shapped heat beast or what?

Could be. Can't find any images of the one on JK:JA offhand, but they're both in the middle of a lake, at least. Plus Tavion was draining it for Force energy, and where better to do that than Exar Kun's tomb?

Yeah, surprisingly no one, not even those Wookieepedia completionists, has even bothered to upload an image of the end of the first level of Jedi Academy.

I think it is Luke battling a Lava Dragon on Eol Sha while Gandoris and his people watch

Yup. Found it. Fireworm or lava dragon

I've read Jedi Search where it says it first appeared, but don't recall it.

I haven't played JK:JA, but I would presume it's the same place - the Temple of Exar Kun.

The problem with that is Corran slagged Kun's temple with an X-wing at the end of I, Jedi; about three years or so before JK:JA. So it's probably another one that they hadn't discovered until then.

Could be the trophy of an ancestor or from the time the CIS tried to take over the planet, because AFAIK on Dac the use of tridents is largely a Quarren-thing:

Always been amused by that, as though Stackpole was completely and utterly wiping out all of Kevin J. Anderson's SW canon. :p

Made perfect sense to me - "Hey, there's a temple dedicated to unspeakable evil here that housed the spirit of a Dark Lord who corrupted multiple Academy students! Since we defeated him in a mumbo-jumbo joining of light thingy, it's okay to leave it standing, right?"

Blowing up the temple was a bad move though -- it might unanchor the spirit from any physical location and let it go where it pleases. Since Kun was dispatched I guess it just was wiping out KJA.

As I recall, most of the sourcebook material implies that destroying an object a Sith/darkside spirit is anchored to will result in the destruction of the spirit. I think the "un-anchoring" excuse is more a handwave to explain why the Jedi didn't just BDZ Korriban and other Sith worlds sometime between 5,000 BBY and the present. Granted, a planet is a much different can of worms than one temple (although given that you also had the Temple of the Blueleaf Cluster and Force-knows what other creepiness on Yavin IV, I doubt Exar Kun's temple was the only dark side locus on the moon).

Well, it's supposition on my part since Freedon Nadd and Marka Ragnos seem to go where they please. And Freedon Nadd didn't seem to go anywhere at all until Arca removed his body to Dxun, so I think maybe Arca messed up.

While I understand the logic of such a move, I have to admit the historian and anthropologist in me can't bare the thought of destroying historical monuments.
