Head over to the Twitter, ESPN message boards, or other places in which keyboard commandos dwell, and you'll find the droids you're looking for. Plenty of chatter.

I think Chiefs fans are justified to be excited, particularly with their defense. Yes the teams they've played haven't won much but they have been suffocated by the Chiefs.

Their season doesn't really begin until after the bye though, with 5 out of 7 divisional games, especially with the Chargers and Broncos looking good.

The chiefs are a good team this year despite that crap schedule. But yeah, it's a valid point.

Interesting list over on Awful Announcing of licensing rights that could be bought for the 1.9 billion dollars/year that ESPN pays for Monday Night Football. Combined, they don't even cost one billion.

100 million - USGA rights including the Men's and Women's US Open

~90 million - UFC on Fox

    80 million - Rose Bowl

    80 million - Sugar Bowl

75 million - US Open Tennis

    55 million - Orange Bowl

~45 million - Big East rights

    25 million - British Open

    20 million - AAC rights

    ~18 million - MLS season

    12 million - WNBA season

    ~10 million - IndyCar season

7.5 million - Little League World Series

That was easily the funniest Mayne Event, back when Kenny Mayne used to do those.

Well the Rams situation is worse, considering they actually went and tried to get Farve out of retirement to play for them.

The UK will most likely take our sending of the Jaguars to their soil as a form of international aggression.

He suffered a spinal contusion from a hit during last Sunday's game. He had to be stretchered off the feel and he termporarily lost feeling in his limbs and was in the ICU for at least a day.

I know all that, but there hasn't been any word on structural damage. They've been quiet.

The real question going forward for him right now is whether or not there will be a need for surgery

According to Chris Mortenson on ESPN yesterday, it's looking like he'll be able to make a full recovery without the need for surgery. It's simply a matter of the bruising around the spinal cord from the hit needing to heal and given that he's already released from the hospital (considering he was in ICU Sunday night), it's looking like he's well on his way to a fairly speedy recovery. Whether or not he's back on the field this season is another story.
