I watched a documentary on the physics of Superman when Returns came out. Is the book kinda like that?

I don't believe Superman is America's "most enduring hero." Maybe once, but I seriously doubt his popularity in contemporary culture. Unless they mean enduring like the piece of chewing gum you accidentally stepped in and can't get off your shoe.

Nah, it's more of a look at the history of the character, begining with his creation in 1933, and an analysis of his cultural impact/significance.

So glad you cleared that up for us.

Superman is still widely regarded and well known in today's culture. Man of Steel is the highest grossing Superman movie to date not adjusting inflation and the likes.

I collect books about the space program and I am going to hear him speak at the end of the month.

The book you buy in the store is actually the book that the two main characters are reading, and it's filled with all their notes back and forth to each other plus a ton of pullouts like post cards, newspaper clippings, etc. So original!

I enjoyed the game a lot, but had a hard time keeping up with the story toward the end, and it was so abrupt and ending I felt like I might have missed something. So why not read through the book? :p

The Quantum Thief and The Fractal Prince by Hannu Rajaniemi. I usually buy one and then the sequels if the original is good, but I bought both today.
