OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

Great posting by everyone! Nice to come home from a long day of work and have some interesting reading material!

 

WWL for Week 2 is up. I'm going to be honest--this one basically wrote itself. However, it really is getting hard to write about the Monarchs. It's no fun to kick a guy when he's down. Ergo, I think that Bardan_Jusik needs to be nice and let the Monarchs win this week. It's not like I have any vested interest in a terrible Mercs season this year.

When I read the Patriots and Storm entries, it was everything I could do to keep from busting out laughing in the middle of the library I'm in right now.

After one bump too many my laptop has decided to stop working. Luckily I have this trusty iPad to do scores tomorrow. However, I probably won't be doing much else (including stats). Could someone please link to the 275 OP in this thread so I can easily get to it tomorrow morning for scores?

Also, don't break the game until I say you can again. I mean it.

No, just my hard drive.

Luckily I backed up a few months ago, can get my music off my iPod, and didn't really need most of those files anyways. Heck, most of my writing is on here now, not in Word docs!

 

Though we really shouldn't be getting off on this tangent, I will quickly point out that sometimes an independent computer repair specialist can get files off of a mostly dead hard drive. There's no guarantee, but it may be worth looking into if your last backup is several months old.

And as for the game, you're lucky that I'm not ready to break it yet.

 

So it took me 12+ seasons to finally break the game for real. Long hard process.

And it looks like I have time to do Power Rankings for this week. Better late than never, right?

 

Looks like I'll be missing a week in posting, no energy to slide one in tonight. It's an NPC team, it won't matter, right? >.> However, if Ylesia loses again, I'll probably be looking for trades... just FYI.

 

Speaking of which, Trieste, when is the trade deadline?

 

Good question. Some people wanted it later and I'm open to that. I don't think I'd go later than the start of Week 6...maybe a s late as the end of that week if people really clamored for it.

I will be posting scores shortly. After that I am going computer shopping. I hope to make a purchase today and be back on track this afternoon. Tomorrow I am taking my hard drive to a coworker whose department (no joke) repairs computers and even recovers files from hard drives (though she's said she'll have to find out how many sectors are comrpomised--don't worry, my limmie folder will be a high priority). Oh the joys of working in an organization with an IT arm.

 

Guns blazing, baby, guns blazing! So Bardan_Jusik, our match up later in the season could be for all the marbles, eh?

 

That's the hope, though given my luck this is just setting me up for getting shut out buy the Miners next week.

EDIT: I just noticed that my two wins are against winless teams, my one loss was to an undefeated team. Not sure what that means for power rankings or "what we learned", but it is interesting.

 

Even a bonus roll that I wasn't expecting couldn't help me this week. The Storm need to turn things around fast.
