ST Death Star and Superweapons

can't see it getting much smaller than that. And Star Destroyers aren't exactly cheap and easy to run.

 

Bringing back the Death Star for ROTJ was a mistake.

Bringing back the DS for the ST would be an even bigger mistake.

And neo-Sith would be an even bigger mistake than Death Stars in the ST.

 

No bad guys with red lightsabers I think would disappoint Disney if they wanna make a return off their investment.

 

There are alternatives to NEO-Sith.

 

Fair point. I just think red lightsabered bad guys is guaranteed.

 

Please no Death Star. I guess I'd be fine if they had a superlaser thing, but even that would feel like a ripoff. To me, I think they can come up with something even more terrifying.

 

This was in the ole locked forum but technology advancement, and superweapons, is sort of a thing. (Death Star in OT, Clones superior to droids in PT). I would think maybe a weapon of mass destruction but with a biological tinge might be next in line.

 

I never had a problem with another DS in ROTJ, and I wouldn't have a problem with one or something similar in the ST. But sphere motifs are prevalent in all of the SW movies, and I like superlasers, so if they can find other ways to use those I'd be ok with that. A lot of people seem to have problems with anything being repeated in SW, but from the moment "I have a bad feeling about this" was said for the second time in ANH, Lucas set up a pattern of repetition (or what he refers to as rhyming) which has been carried through all the movies, and of which I appreciate and still enjoy discovering some of the more subtle instances.

 

I agree. Everybody is way too neophilic these days.

That's a pretty cool speculation on advancement of the super weapon. I still want my ST sans super weapon but this was cool non the less.
