Is it fitting that the 275 all-star ballot was post #2,222 in the game thread? Somehow I think it is as an embodiment of how far we've come as a game that now we're doing a midseason all-star game with a ballot and everything. The only thing more appropriate would be if the opening post of a Draft were to be that post. But hey, we've got something to shoot for with post #3,333!

That means, with 9 active players, 9 weeks, and about 20 more GM posts . . .

We all need to post about 90-95 times each the rest of this season to get there.:p

Some very interesting nominations on the ballot this year. Safe to say I didn't anticipate some of them.

    My ballot is also in.

Came back from it, which I mentioned by way of him practicing pregame before the Mercs game. Unlike his real life counterpart, his injury was not so serious, but enough at the time to keep him out of the Rebels game.

My ballot is in... procrastination mode. Yep, I will once again be "that guy" that submits it at the last minute, most likely. :p

Don't worry too much about it. It's not like the outcome of this game means anything. :p

I'm waiting until Sunday to submit my ballot. Everything is saved in a Word document, but I want to see the outcome of this week's games. Because I take my fun seriously :p

Although I must say that Dev "I've never played a game in goal in my life" Poletin manages to pull off an astounding win. Didn't expect anything less from my old CorTech players. :D

When you lose three in a row it's time to change things up ;)

If you go back to last season and include the pre-season "friendly" I was at 6.

Guess what? I forgot yet another thing in the ballot. Head coach voting. Despite the fact that we voted for head coaches last year, most actual sports teams do not have voting for the head coaches. Therefore, I may just appoint them using Magic GM Powers. :)

Anyways, now is the time to complain loudly if you want to vote for head coaches.

I say we let the head coaches of the two Galactic Cup finalists from the previous year coach the teams.

It's a reward for the previous season sort of thing. ;)

We could also go with the head coach from whatever teams leads their conferences at the time the final rosters are announced.

If RL All-Star Games have any say on things . . .

In MLB, the pennant-winning manager from the previous year coaches the next AS team.
In NBA, the coach with the best record in the conference gets the nod.
Or, in the case of the all-powerful NHL, the coach with the highest point percentage in the conference.

Therefore, I say leave it to the GM to decide.
