Master Selkath, first question is this: Do you wish to partake of the role playing aspect of this group or no? Either is fine but my future questions will lean heavily on your response. Meanwhile, welcome.

Awesome. I'll give you a quick outline then. All new members start out with the rank of initiate. This is a 'get to know you' period, both for your benefit and ours which lasts two weeks. During this time period it is generally expected, barring drl pains, that you be active in this thread and add posts that are on topic. It goes without saying that one be respectful of mods and other tfn staff. During the initiate period, you will be asked basic questions by me and I will encourage you to go deeper in the group, ie. checking out the offsite, the wiki and in general getting to know the forums (should there be a need). If at any time you no longer wish to participate in this way just say so. It's all good.

 

Thank you I have already looked at the wiki a little bit and I'm ready for whatever questions you may have.

I want to be a Jedi for multiple reasons. The first reason is because I have always liked how Jedi are calm and don't rush into things without thought. The second and best reason I want to be a Jedi is that they don't just have to kill something to get what they want which is what a lot of sith do. I believe killing something is a last resort and that the force should be used more defensively when attacking and offensively if there is no other option. The third reason is because Jedi keep the peace but do not intervene when it is not their business. The last reason is that Jedi use the force to save lives not to take them. It doesn't only take brute force to deal with something. Jedi are calm and open minded as well as they are humble which is a good quality that sith don't have as Jedi don't try to one up one another. All in all I just like the philosophy of the Jedi and their calmness in face of danger and that is what I relate myself towards.

My response to the question is my favorite Jedi is probably Plo Koon. I like him because he was a calmer and more wiser Jedi. He always was calm in the face of danger and is great warrior. He was good enough to be on the council and had a lot of experience. His thinking and calmness is what I picture my self as a Jedi and love about his character.
