Well, I am really jonesing for some X-wing.
Just got a package from CoreSec Engenering-- trying to get my proxies on the "large" stand. Need to play with those stands some more.

 

Any evening is good for me down here. I can always host.

Don't like vassal, much prefer face to face lol. Just had last night an awesome game using the Lambda shuttle two tie bombers and two interceptors. Beat my friend who was using 2ywings and Xwing and a bwing. Awesome game, 150 points.

 

I know Wolf will be all over this...a new Imperial expansion pack is in the works. Looks like some sweet ships/paint jobs.

Aww...it's a work weekend for me. Then next weekend is the sister's Bday and getting ready for Xmas (still so much to do!)

The above is a guide to play the game on-line (a program called Vassell). Face to face is a lot more fun, absolutely. But, seeing as how we haven't been face to face in a while-- maybe we could try out Vassell?
Or, actually meet back up?

Gotta admit, my free time is less and less these days, but still-- sometimes you just gotta shoot stuff.

 

Agreed. I'm a little scared now of tournaments. The game has gotten so much more complex with more ships and more abilities and rules. But playing a friendly pick up game with the group is for sure doable.

 

I am back finally. My work schedule changed and it suuucks....

picked up the Tantive IV and the rebel transport, and actually am playing rebs a bit now. There is a tourney at the local store in the Etown mall tomorrow at `11 I am participating in, standard 100 points.

I am always, always, wanting to play casual pick up games with anyone!

I have to work this weekend but this store in the Etown Mall...what's their name and do they do tourneys on a regular basis or is this a one time thing?

 

Hard Knox games. I've known the owner for twelve years, and he wants to run these quarterly depending on participation. Very nice store!

So I saw some pics on their Facebook page, looks like it was a good turnout. Saw quite a few bombers in the builds (on both sides).

 

The bombers are cool, but I am still trying to wrap my head around how to use them in the "meta" of the game. For the Rebels, I still think Wedge is the best card. Having said that, I would probably get slaughtered by some 9 year old if I ever was in a tournament.

 

Bombers have six hull, their main advantage. I would never take more than two tough. I was not able to participate due to personal issues but I was going to take a Firespray and four ties.

 

And when are we playing? Have enough Rebs and imps to loan out for a big game.

I'm hoping to have everyone over to my place by the end of Summer for a cookout/dinner/game/trivia night. Problem is finding a weekend I don't already have plans and the wife and I both are off.

On subject my comic store had the new wave in today, picked up a Headhunter and an Ewing.

 

I'm picking up the TIE phantom and defender this afternoon. I work nights, but I'm off Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
