purplerain - Are you still interested in the Sith. If so we need you to be more active.

Hello_Fett - Haven't seen you around lately. How is the task coming along?

Why do sith never have children? Its not like there under the same constraints as jedi are.

They seem to always be busy plotting on the galaxy and trying to find eternal life

Read Knight Errant, the entire Sith conflict takes place between one massive family.

There's also the Lost Tribe, and Freedon Nadd's bloodline.

You have made over 1000 posts in the last 2 months, I doubt the existence of your "real life".

Being a Minnesota native, I do appreciate your name though. I have even met the Great Purple One about 10 years ago, nice guy...but crappy tipper.

I meant that having a master seems like too much of a commitment.

I am not really a fan of the old ways of training, we should really just pin rank directly to activity in the thread. You post a lot, you get rank, you don't (like me) then your rank diminishes.

Also, we should be meaner to each other in here. You peons don't know how glorious we used to be, now everyone is too nice to each other. Sith aren't nice, we are jerks.

I feel like an old man bitching about the kids these days. :p

I was thinking of promoting a couple people cause they have earned it with activity.

You know I don't think we've ever discussed it, but I remember I asked it about Dark Jedi once: What Sith Lord do any of you admire the most?

For me it's simple Darth Bane:

Saw the flaws in the Brotherhood of Darkness, tore it apart, and created a new Order that led to the Jedi finally being toppled from their peak and the Republic being brought to heel.

Seeing what some of my friends have to deal with regarding their kids, if I was a parent, I know I'd be tempted by the dark side.

It could be that many Sith are too selfish to have children, they could be viewed as a distraction from the pursuit of power. Especially for women Sith who physically would have to take time out of their life to bear and give birth to the child.

Children could also be seen as a weakness, something that someone else could use to gain leverage over a Sith.

Assuming the Sith would have an emotional attachment to the child, yes that could be true. I see a child being about the same level of weakness as an apprentice.

Maybe it is easier to find strong force sensitive apprentices than it is to breed them, you can't always count on genetics.

Its also possible they feared them like they would fear their apprentices.
