Still good to see her flying Rancor Back. Anyone else think Xesh may try to 'turn' her?

 

Funny, if it was any other era, that would look more like a Sith on the cover, what with the non-green or blue saber and flying rancor. And what I find most interesting is that the summary said "hoping to find a gateway to the galaxy" in the chasm, which seems odd, as the Rakata came from outside the Tython system so why would they need a gateway. Unless they're looking for Gree or Kwa technology (other DotJ stories have touched on how there's plenty of old mysterious ruins). Or maybe the Rakatan invasion force was somehow stranded in the Tython system and now they need a way off.

Looks like Xesh's sleeper status is over. But who cares about Xesh, a flying rancor is pretty awesome.

 

Unless I'm misremembering Into the Void, there's a Gree hypergate at the bottom of the chasm. Ten to one, that's what they're gunning for.

 

Chalk it up to artistic license, but Butch on this cover looks a whole lot meaner than on the issue #2 cover.

 

At Force War #4 out of 5, the Je'daii still haven't split into lightsiders and darksiders. Might this be the first out of at least two Force Wars?

 

I could certainly see a Rakata attack being the thing that makes Rajivari's turn to militancy so appealing to man Je'daii.

 

Um, I think they're separate things, no offense. I'll check Wookieepedia later, but I think the first arc, Force Storm, had Xesh and Shae and those other two (Sek'nos the Sith and that Twi'lek sorta princess, whatever her name was) in the Chasm beneath the Anil Kesh Temple, while the Gree hypergate was in some old forbidden city or something. Especially with how the climaxes of both arcs happened simultaneously, which is why the novel protagonist (can't remember her name at the moment) didn't get any backup as everybody else was busy with the other big problem.

The Kwa Infinite Gate was destroyed already, the Gree haven't been referenced in the comic yet (the novel of course, but having all these ancient species involved on one planet already feels a bit like overcrowding), so sounds like the Rakata are going for the Chasm. Which is not going to end well, given how its affected everyone else (wonder how Daegon Lok will be, now that he's been proven right).

 

I'll have to recheck, honestly. It'd probably just have to do with where exactly the gate that Dalien was searching for was.

 

Somewhere in the middle of the arc that hasn't come out yet. Solicit spoilers are the funniest spoilers.

Anyway, the gate was supposedly in an old ruined city underground, not the Chasm.

 

I wonder whether or not they'll be a fourth DOTJ arc.

 

Hope so, we need a series to break the Curse of the Third Arc!
