I must say, nothing against any of the lovely ladies on display here, but this thread has only reinforced my belief that Luke shouldn't be married. This just feels all wrong to me.

 

Bridget Fonda is a giant hole in the screen. A pretty giant hole mind you, but still...

 

George Lucas didn't seem like he was too thrilled at the notion of Luke being married in the EU, and so I'm not sure he'd have provided treatments in which Mara is in fact married to Luke past/present/future storyline-wise. That isn't to say though, that he didn't change his mind, or maybe J. J. is willing to overlook his feelings on the matter and go forward with it anyway, but eh...not sure.

Anyway, getting with the topic of the thread, Sandra Bullock. Next year, she turns 50, and she just recently starred in the blockbuster Gravity...and yes, I'm typecasting her based on her performance in another space movie. Nevertheless...

 

Jill Jacobson. Saw her while watching TV the other day, she looked familiar, so I Googled her. She's been in practically nothing over the years, but still looks pretty good for her age. Decent actress, but not likely to outshine the acting abilities of the other cast members. And, for all you Mara Jade fanatics, she's currently a redhead.

 

We could go in a completely new direction and cast Rosanne Barr!

 

I actually prefer Rosie O'Donnell or Liza Minnelli

How about Helen McCrory? She doesn't fit the 50-60 age range, but I don't think the first thing Luke is going to do when he goes on a date is ask for her birth certificate.
