Well if he had been that close then Alec would've definitely pursued instead of going with "Blargh he's too far now. Too lazy to do this now."

Of course he's supposed to be taking it easy. Not gonna go chasing a crazy Caamasi if it means becoming a cripple!

I expect Gaan won't be too keen to enter the Library, Zels, will she? So many strange people?

She's on the threshold, currently. :p But no, she's probably going to watch, and then find her way where she wants to go.

    For those who don't know what I'm on about when I'm calling parry positions by number, here are some cribbed diagrams;

    First:

    Second:

    Third:

    High Third (Guard):

    Fourth:

    Fifth:

    Sixth:

Seventh and Eighth are not commonly used - they are variations on First and Second.

Ninth (not illustrated) is the 'Anakin Special' - hilt behind the head, blade pointing downwards, covering the spine.

Tim's post nicely leads into my next mission :p

    Fifth Test Ananta Chetan

Of the Lightsaber Forms that Padawans are allowed to learn, which do you believe you will study? The available Forms are Form I: Shii-Cho, Form II: Makashi, Form III: Soresu, Form IV: Ataru, and Form V: Shien/Djem So. Any of these can be the one you choose to study, even lowly Shii-Cho can be quite useful if you put your mind into training in it (see: Kit Fisto).

    Master Skywalker_T-65

    Task received.

And a question- which form, if any in particular, do Consular Knights usually prefer to choose to study?

    :)

Consular would likely go for Soresu, as they prefer to avoid conflict when possible, and that Form is the most defense oriented. I am a Sentinel (and Makashi user) so I could be wrong however.

Unless you purposely didn't mention it I think you're forgetting about the Niman form which is the preferred style for Consulars.

IIRC, Niman is not a form that can be learnt by GOL Padawans, Sarge.;)

In any case, I think that Makashi (being a very controlled form - thrusts and short, precise slashes) would probably be just as good defensively against Lightsabers as Soresu. Against Blasters, of course, Soresu or Shien are far better; but one can deflect Blaster fire with nothing more than Shii-Cho! ;)

Tim Buttershell is correct, Form VI is off limits for Padawans to practice. However they are allowed to study it academically. Sarge221 is correct that Consulars prefer to utilize Niman.

I didn't forget about Niman, I was just working within the Forms I set up with the task :p

But yes, Niman would be a good route to go on later in your training if you do become a Consular Knight Ananta.

It seems you are progressing nicely in your training, Ananta Chetan . You are in good hands with your master. ;)

This makes me miss my old training. I almost envy these padawans… almost. :)

It is well I've been reading the posts about the lightsaber forms and I personally think the best form to learn for a padwan would be Makashi or Soresu if they are going down the consular path.

I agree, Master Selkath . I've always felt Soresu complemented Jedi Consulars quite well. It allows the user to fatigue his/her opponent, which could be seen as a defensive maneuver. By using this form, the Consular may be able to persuade his/her opponent to come to the Light Side…

Pearlsaber I also think it is good because of it's mostly defensive and is not a run in and duel. As you said it can wear out the opponent and also gives the consular time to use the force to their advantage. The best part about it that you have stated is it also gives them time to persuade the attacker to stop.
