Where do you work?

 

I work at the local YMCA as a lifeguard (and Honda as a lifeguard as well but I didn't work there today). There was a gap of like, 2 1/2 hours where there was no one there so they put me to work doing manual labor

Sounds like Walmart haha. I'm literally the unpaid supervisor already. I do everything except the paperwork.

 

Quite honestly I don't think I could ever work at a retail store, it would drive me mad

 

I've been working for three weeks and I'm already been driven up the wall by 4 co workers, 1 manager, and quite a few customers.

That sucks. It's like that in Rexburg, you literally can't get a job because there's other college kids that have already gotten to it

 

Exactly! I applied for 2 years and got NOTHING.

 

I was 17 before I ever got a job. My town isn't too job friendly either. And there's that vicious cycle of "We won't hire you if you don't have any work experience" "But I need to get a job to have work experience"

 

That's what I had the most trouble with. I actually had experience with customer service and fashion, but that really wasn't enough for anyone else

 

XD I think the only job I ever really liked was working on a zip-line

 

That would be cool! Was it at a theme park or something?

 

No, it was a big farm that did this pumpkin festival every fall. They had all sorts of stuff, including this huge zipline. That was my first real job.

 

That seriously sounds like fun.
