Never heard of that one. What's it about? I loved Moby Dick.

You're on to a winner there, Chew is fantastic. Those panels where he gets the readings... So intense and clever. And the writing... Such a vivid universe and such memorable characters... How far in are you? Are you doing it with the individual comics or the little tpbs or the big hardbacks?

Finished 'Dallas: 1963' which is amazing. Talk about psycho conservative HQ. Kennedy shouldn't have driven through Dallas in anything other than a Sherman tank.

Inspired by that I am now actually reading H.L. Hunt's utopian novel, "Alpaca"

Just started A Spell for Chameleon - Not a huge fantasy fan, but it was suggested I give it a shot. Tolkien is the only thing that has ever been able to hold my interest in the genre so I'm not expecting to be on this long. The map of Florida (cesspool of all that is awful and unholy) initially turned me off, but I've been able to get past it.

I once heard an amazing public radio segment/show (This American Life probably) involving Piers Anthony and, tangentially, his books.
Plus I grew up in FL so that's been on my list forever.

Just a personal preference - its the antithesis of my preferred environment, and far too crowded for me. I've never been to the northern part though so I guess I shouldn't lump it all in together ;-)

To Hold the Crown: A Novel of the Tudors by Jean Plaidy (1/3 through and it's kind of meh. Her writing style is clunky. Wasn't too impressed with her The Queen's Secret: Catherine of Valois either).

The King, The Queen, and the Mistress: A Novelization of Season One of The Tudors (not very far in, but it's not holding my interest very well because of the constant jumping around and switching POVs.)

Still need to finish Republic Commando: Hard Contact and Lost Tribe: Pandemonium and start on Knight Errant and Fatal Alliance so I can give those two back to my friend.

Coming from an OCD expert, you might want to lighten up on the planning. Cut loose, mix it up a little.

That's as far as I'm up to (reading the hardcovers). Kind of a bleak ending isn't it? But all those predictions have to come to something...
