Not for me, I have no artistic talent whatsoever. I will content myself to simply enjoy what those with talent can come up with.

I am glad that you enjoy my art and I've plenty more in the works :)

I still hold the belief that everyone can draw, just that something happened that made them stop. Just need to get on the bike again and exercise it ;)

Thanks so much, Outrider. Not sure who my next drawing will be of... maybe Ben Skywalker, if I can find a good reference to work from. Any suggestions?

I'd like to draw the Horn siblings as well. I've got the reference pics for them as well. Liam Hemsworth and Emily Browning. They won't look exactly like them, but that's the base I'll work from.

EDIT: I'm going to try and work my way down to the Next Gen's next gen, if you will. So, grandchildren! YAY! [face_dancing]

Could a rookie fly in and ask a favor? Or, come to think of it, two favors? The answers to two questions.

1.) What ship did Stackpole say Tycho was flying in the second Death Star run? I started wondering the other day and, of course, then found myself without a copy of "Isard's Revenge". Which was maddening. The mention was a brief thing in parenthesis among the Author's Notes, I think.

2.) Is there a slicer here to can access the Wraith fan art of Mido Kapetanovic --via Allston's site, or someplace else. I caught a glimpse of her Falynn Sandskimmer on a Russian forum. Terrific. I'd love to know how she visualizes Runt.

    Whyren's Reserve offered as reward.

I think the Tycho thing was mentioned in an earlier book.

It was an A-Wing - if memory serves, the second to detach and lead TIEs off on a wild-Nuna chase.

Wasn't he the one that split off to the right and lead them back to the surface?

    "Squeaky, break out the Whyren's!...Please."

An A-Wing, and splitting off to the right. Thanks, folks. That'll be something to look for next time I see RotJ.

Now, if I could just find Kapetanovic's illustration of Runt. I'm reading through the Wraith books again, playing at putting faces to the characters, and I keep getting hung up on Runt. Haven't quite decided how Lara looks, either. Or Phanan.

Myn Donos, I'm finding, looks a lot like Robert Kent.

Robert Kent, as he appeared in "Shoot to Kill" (1947).

Seems to be a decent rendering from the description, and....

Blue suit next to Wedge. Has to be since he was 2nd in command. That's how I cam to my conclusion, anyway.

I always have trouble with pics of Wes Janson because in the last X-Wing series book he is said to look 'preternaturally young'. :p

Getting back to this, horribly late...

The snoot though. Could that snoot fit inside a stormtrooper helmet? As I believe it had to in "Iron Fist" and "Mercy Kill".

( Yes, it would be just like the girl to get overly technical and drain the fun out of the whole thing. )

    *whistles...*

*...as best she can with gold-plated, immovable lips*

    Hey! I found Kapetanovic's Runt!

( And here's the link to the larger original in the Wayback Machine. )

    ( Ditto. )

Still a snoot. But the latter image warms the ( tin ) heart of this fangirl.

Outside, something odd was going on at the mess and patio. The thermal blanket normally used as an awning over the mess picture viewport had been lowered, indicating that it was closed, and all the patio's chairs and tables had been drawn aside. A hand-painted sign decorated the main door into the module: MESS CLOSED BY ORDER OF THE PIRATE RUNT.

Runt now stood in the middle of the newly open space, goggles over his eyes as he used one of the maintenance crew's backpack paint sprayers to put a layer of matte-green paint down on the stone floor.

Wedge wandered over and watched for a while as Runt finished transforming a large oval of gray stone into a green surface. Then Runt removed his goggles and switched off the sprayer.

Wedge asked, "Runt, what are you doing?"

Runt looked at him levelly. "Painting, sir."

    "Ah. Why?"

    "For the ritual, sir."
