Yes he's lied but only about the content, not the production and airing. He wouldn't lie saying there's something good, but when there's not.

 

IIRC, there were at least one or two interviews that Moffat gave where he announced that S7 wouldn't be split before, of course BBC announced that it would be, indeed, split (of course he and Karen Gillian also said at that time that Karen was staying for the whole of S7, so either they were both completely lying, or Karen hadn't given her notice that she wanted to leave at that point).

 

I suppose Moffat could be overruled by the BBC at some point between now and scheduling.

 

Everton did he not say at Cheltenham that he wanted a full series but was out of his hands?

 

Can someone just make a graphic that says you have been moffated? like you have been punk'd but with moffats name and it could mean almost anything you want. I feel the saying I just made up can a lot of the times apply to situations we get in Doctor Who cause of Moffat.

Moffed and moffeted have ben going around fandom for years (much like Buffy with Jossed). Don't think hardly any have thought to make graphics for the terms before.

WOOD CYBERMEN! WTF? Because if I'm scared of unblinking, emotionless, deadly metal killing machines... just make 'em out of wood. Because wood is... terrifying? Oh wait, it's freaking wood. I'm not scared of wood.

In terms of their "upgrade," I still prefer RTD's Cyberman design (or whoever actually designed them). I know some complained of their stompy feet, but that was part of their menace. You could hear them coming and there wasn't much you could do about it. They'd be coming in big numbers and you wouldn't see that, but hear it.

Very true. Admittedly, I'm skeptical that we even need all these villains to appear. We don't need to do The Pandorica Opens again and if this episode is truly supposed to end the story arc begun in The Eleventh Hour then we need all of that 60 minutes dedicated to the Silence.

I'm a little worried that Moffat's going to go for spectacle over actually providing a satisfying conclusion.
