You know Moffat wrote the script for the first film before he became Who showrunner right?

It was originally, right? Because if it was the Tesselecta all along, then River Song not shooting wouldn't have caused time to fracture. The Doctor changed his future by putting the Tesselecta there in Wedding.

Anyhow, if I'm remembering correctly River Song explains in TIA that the "spaceman" had to shoot him twice to prevent regeneration. It wouldn't need preventing if he couldn't do it (though did River know about 8.5?).

 

Considering Eleven makes it explicit in The Name of the Doctor that he refuses to acknowledge the War Doctor, I'm going to go with the premise that River doesn't know about him and likely wouldn't know who he is even if she did run into him.

 

It had to happen for it not to happen. So maybe there's an alternative universe where 11 died permanently, but it's not the universe we're concerned with!

 

And in that universe, whose to say that 10 wasn't shot by the Daleks and therefore no metacrisis Doctor and therefore quite able to regenerate again

Speaking of poor writing, I must apologise for my unforgivable faux pas in my previous post.

 

Man the BBC America trailer for The Time of The Doctor looks very interesting.

 

Nice trailer. I didn't pick up on the repetition of "now" until Ulicus pointed it out. Damn you.

 

I am so happy I got my boots in today that are similar to The Doctor's its both for a cosplay but will also wear them for everyday wear since Doctor Who has really influenced me fashion wise.

 

If you ever end up wearing Colin Baker's coat, picture will be demanded.

 

If anything if I do more Doctor cosplays I feel like Colin Baker would be done last because for me particularly he isn't high on my list of fav. doctors. Its not that I dislike him I just like him the least out of all the other Doctors.

He's actually just barely edged out from first place for my favorites...

Admittedly, he'd be quite a difficult cosplay, particularly if you are a stickler for accuracy...

 

Everyone has there least fav. doctor in Doctor Who I mean at least I hope that the prequel for the Day of The Doctor with Paul Mcgann as 8th Doctor again has made people like him or something idk. I thought his Doctor was interesting but to get more of him I think makes me like him more now.

 

I did see Night of the Doctor, and good lord that is just freaking depressing. Really puts it in a harsh perspective after you consider that the 8th Doctor was a happy, giddy and slightly scatterbrained person. War is Hell indeed.

A little something Everton and I noticed: It's interesting that the trailer for "The Time of the Doctor", the episode many fans speculate should finally sort out the "numbering issue" (Eleven actually being Thirteen, etc.), was aired on 11.12.13.

 

Or 12/11/13 for us Americans.

 

It's still only November in America?
