1776- George Washington and the Continental Army cross the Delaware to surprise attack and defeat the Hessians at Trenton (followed up by a victory over the British at Princeton on Jan. 3rd).

December 31, 1999: Pizza deliveryman Philip J. Fry takes a order, placed by an I. C. Wiener, to a cryogenics firm, where he is promptly frozen and will not come out of stasis until a thousand years later.

 

I wonder if I.C is releated to Anthony Wiener?

It's been 14 years to do the date that the world ended in a devastating fallout from radiation via nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons going off in their underground bases due to computer failure to read the year 2000. The failure can be blamed on not upgrading to the latest service pack from Microsoft. I must go now and build a tent.

That must've been one hell of a New Year's celebration for Mr. Castro.

 

(Yes, the NES game I got this from, Guerrilla War, was really a Cuban revolution game, at least in the original Japanese version. Ir seems weird years later my brother and I REALLY played as Castro and Che Guevara, and the end boss was Bastisa.)
