I thought Shadows of the Empire was frankly terrible, but that is a pretty funny scene right there.

it's not the only funny scene, either:

Droid: Master Melan is a very busy Bothan. Perhaps I can arrange for you to see him in, oh, perhaps a standard week? Your names?
Dash: Okay, Goldie. My name is Man with a Blaster About to Cook You. Either you open the door or your busy Bothan is going to have to get himself a new receptionist.
Droid: Oh dear. Very well, Man with a Blaster About to Cook You.

Lando: Come on, I spent an hour in the galley fixing this. Everybody dig in!
Chewie: (Growls something that doesn't sound complimentary.)
Lando: Hey pal, you don't like it, you cook next time.
Luke: Giju stew? It looks like old boot plastic and fertilizer drenched in pond scum. Smells like it too-
    Leia: (Chuckles.)
Lando: Fine, fine! Don't eat it, that'll just mean more for me. (Eats a spoonful of it.) See? It tastes great, it - (His expression goes from irritated to amazed, slides to horror, then right into disgust.)
    • What makes that scene really funny is that Leia is thinking the exact thing that Luke says about the stew.

Luke had the perfect entrance. Back in 83, the audience started clapping when they realized it was Luke walking in (he choked the guards to applause lol).

Just to report, I did end up watching Jedi last week and Mark does nail it. He really does change so much between 1v and VI.

Yes he does. The sequels need to have Mark in them. I want to see him as the elder, wise Jedi.

Mark Hamill is a good actor, an awesome voice over artist, and all around good guy. I am looking forward to his appearance in the new films.

the most awesome visual in ROTJ is when jabba's palace door opens and the sunlight pours in and lukes' black cloaked figure comes into view.
I don't think adding the lightsaber building scene would hurt, but I love that entrance of Luke.. just waving his hands at the guards and all

The lightsaber scene is cool as a novelty, but one of the surprises in "Jedi" was the blade being green. We didn't learn that until he first activated it on Jabba's sail barge, and it was a heroic moment.

Thankfully GL didn't mistake the black clothes for the image of a villain.

GL: "I had ILM digitally change Luke's outfit in Return of the Jedi to a beige color so that young children don't think he is an evil monster."

That is why Luke is the better protagonist. Not because he stays good but because he has true character development in the series.

The biggest problem with the prequels is a lack of any major surprise. This prevents the characters from progressing very far, because their destiny's already been established. If Lucas had told Anakin's history on film before making the OT, I doubt there'd be as much debate over it.

    GL: "Must...keep...updating...my...original...vision!"
Lucas says as he struggles against the comforting, yet ironclad grasp of a security guard in a Mickey costume.
Emperor Iger: "The original films, like your company, are now mine."

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark at Celebration. A great guy. He had such a good reputation there among the fans.

Luke is my favorite Jedi. Period. If he is not in Episode VII and beyond, it will lose a lot of magic for me.

Maybe it's just me, but the lining looks gray, rather than white.
