"You will not take her from me!"

"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that. You have allowed this dark lord to twist your mind-- until now, until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy."

Obi-Wan's line is very powerful because it sums up the ROTS story so succinctly, and comes at a dramatic moment when the movie is firing on all pistons.

I actually like Vader's wake-up scene in Episode III...

Sidious: "Lord Vader...can you hear me?"
Vader: "Yes, my master. Where is Padme? Is she safe? Is she all right?"
Sidious: "It seems in your anger...you killed her."
Vader: "I...I couldn't have. She was alive; I felt it!"

(droids start imploding and the table cracks, while Sidious grins evilly)

Vader: "NNNOOOOOO!!!"

The whole Anakin-Padme-Kenobi scene in Mustafar is by far my most memorable. I've watched it a thousand times.

Ian McDiarmid and Christopher Lee are the best villain performers of the PT. Their lines are gold and they have th emost memorable lines there.

Yoda also has stnad out lines. "Begun the Clone War, has"

Obi-Wan has a few as well but he also has his few cheesy lines. So I'd say those four are the best performers.

My favorite scenes of acting are:

1) The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis
2) The Formation of the Empire (or Declaration of It)
3) Dooku's conversation with Obi-Wan
4) Obi-Wan's conversations with Yoda and Mace

Yeah, anything with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in Ep 1. Those guys just nailed those roles and brought those characters to life.

Anakin's "I hate you" always brings chills down my spine. Very powerful delivery.

I have a question regarding a particular quote from Phantom Menace. It is during the scene where he is trying to buy a J-14 hyperdrive, and Watto is asking about payment. Qui-Gon responds by saying he has 20k Republic dataries. I have heard the next line as “20 credits? Republic credits don't work here." Am I alone here? My friend and I had a fight over it, and I just want the issue settled once and for all.

Wookieepedia quotes it as:

"Republic credits? Republic credits are no good out here. I need something more real."

Republic credits and Republic dataries are the same thing, Renadt. Just different terms. The currency on Tatooine is peggats (large amount of currency) and truguts (small amount of currency).

Interesting Note: Even the muggers on Tatooine don't want Republic credits. In the TPM video game, muggers are always coming up to you (Qui-Gon) to take your money.

Mugger: Hey you! C'mere! (Runs up to you with a blaster) Hand over all your money!

Qui-Gon: (one of the options you can select) I have quite a few Republic credits; you can have them all.

Mugger: Republic credits are worthless around here. I want peggats!

Qui-Gon: I'm afraid I don't have anything else.

Mugger: THEN YOU DIE! (shoots you). [face_worried]

Sometimes, a script can be what was originally supposed to be said, but then the actor makes a last second change because they forgot their lines. I was asking what people heard, not what was quoted.

My hat goes out to the opening of Palpatine's speech in Episode II "I love democracy. I love the Republic..." that has to be the biggest lie ever told and coming from the man who is going make himself Emperor is even more slimy :D

The entire opera house scene is my favorite dialogue scene in the entire saga and possibly any movie ever

"A Sith Lord?" (Windu).. that line isn't particularly good or anything, but it's one of those SW references that automatically comes to mind in many rl situations. I have a ton of them in my subconscious.. "Whaat's the situation captain?" Used to have a ton of OT references in my brain when I was a kid but they've all subsequently been replaced by PT (mainly ROTS) references.

"Are you threatening me Master Jedi?"
"The Senate will decide your fate."
"I am the Senate."
"Not yet."
"It's treason, then."

It's just the moment you realize that Palpatine has been waiting for this moment his whole life, that makes this scene awesome.

Padme: I love you. Anakin: You love me? I thought we had decided not to fall in love. That we'd be forced to live a lie and that it would destroy our lives. Padme: I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway. I truly... deeply... love you and before we die I want you to know.

Qui-Gon saying MTFBWY to Anakin before the pod race is my favorite delivery of that line in the entire saga.

My other favorite is from Palps: "Master Yoda...you survived."

The most well written line of the PT in my opinion is:

"So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause."

And the best acted one in my opinion is Bail Organa's simple:

"And so it is."

Both lines sum up so well that Palpatine didn't gain power on his own. Bail Organa's line is so simple yet has so much depth to it because he knows that democracy is dead and worse that they sat by and let Palpatine take it from them. They're both quite chilling IMO.

One of my all time favorites come from the fantastic Ian McDiarmid after he asks if Anakin is going to kill him when he outs himself as a Sith Lord.

Supreme Chancellor: Are you going to kill me?
Anakin Skywalker: I would certainly like to!
Supreme Chancellor: I know you would. I can feel your anger. It gives you focus... makes you stronger.

The last line and the way he says it, I mean wow, it was like he was really feeding off his anger. It was so deliciously evil.
