I did get some work done on preparing my roster for next season last night, and I intend to make finishing that my first priority today.

 

I did not even know that Flivvians were a species.

Apparently he was so enthralled with my pick that he forgot.

The Draft has now concluded and all undrafted rookies have now entered 48 hour hold for competing claims to be submitted to me via PM.

I may be writing up a What We Learned encapsualting the draft.

 

My claims are in.

 

I will get any claims and my Draft grades up tomorrow, when I am actually on my computer and not my iPod.

Really? What were the Storm thinking? After the shooting last season, they desperately needed to restock the Gundarks, and the draft was the best way to do that. They had four picks, including at least one in every round, and could have gotten some great talent to round out their D-team and prepare for the future. Instead they trade away everything before the third round for future draft picks. Yeah, it's great that they now have four picks in the first two rounds next year, but they need players now. Dr. Zargana had better work the free agent pool hard to make up for it, because if I were Wilrax, I'd be looking at firing her for sheer incompetence.

 

Is there a professional help hotline I should call because I'm beginning to think investing in dual monitors so I can more easily work on posts and my roster would not be a bad idea.

 

There have been more than a few times that having a second monitor would have helped me with limmie stuff.

 

Is it a bad thing that I've been running off of three monitors for roster, post, and stats?

No, that's a good thing.

 

I'm actively involved in a really helpful recovery program. It's worked wonders for my life. Limmie Anonymous. Try it sometime. Instead of racing home from work in my car and turning on my computer to check the Holonet I now get a drink of water, maybe a bite to eat, and still check what's happening online. I think that's healthy. I think that's a positive step. A step in the right direction. I've admitted my guilt. I've admitted my crime. All I want is to read about a sport that doesn't exist with players that are rated based on a random dice roller in a galaxy that really is a long time ago and far, far away. Whew.

Thanks for listening. I've wanted to say that for years.

I might have dual monitors at work. And I might use my lunch break to do limmie things. But I usually have to just muddle through snapping windows to left and right on my laptop.

Runjedirun I think it's sweet that Martin's kids are proud of him for the draft! That made me smile.

 

I, the resident Limmie guru, just use one screen. That makes my ridiculous Limmie binges even more astounding.

 

Here here to those who only have one screen!

 

Come to think of it, there's only a week left before the 276 season begins.

Although I'm sure this next week will have some interesting stuff.

 

So time to take another look at the to-do list:

1. Create character sheet for Wilrax - DONE!
2. Resolve contract stuff (target: Sunday 1/12) - COMPLETED Thursday 1/16
3. Make my draft pick (target: Monday 1/13) - TRADED Monday 1/13
4. Set up the Futures League for 276 (target: Tuesday 1/21)
5. Finalize my plot points for 276 (for both Zay and Wilrax) (target: Thursday 1/23)
6. Begin writing my major event post for next offseason (target: start by mid-February)

Looks like I've still go some work to do. Now if I can just figure out why my body is demanding 11 to 12 hours in bed daily instead of just 8, I might have time to actually do this stuff. (Seriously, I crashed into bad at 3:00 am this morning and was unable to drag myself out of bed until 3:00 pm this afternoon.)

 

Limmie is more important than sleep. Never forget that.
