Oh okay. I'm certainly intrigued by the Whills and wouldn't mind seeing a wayward one. Could be interesting.

I think if the first trilogy is, to some degree, about The Sith, and the second is about The Jedi, then the third should be about The Force. I can see them finally using the "Balance of the Force" title for episode 9. I can see the first movie being somewhat straight forward. But it seems maybe that by episode 9, Luke will be learning about the Force in a more "True" way than either the Sith or the Jedi. Which makes me think of both Mortis and the Whills. So yes. I think there is a good chance.

While I agree with seeing the Whills and learning more about the "true" Force in the ST, I disagree with your other points. It is extremely naive to look at the PT as being about the Sith and the OT being about the OT. I'm not sure why you have that assumption.

Luke has already learned this and Anakin was Sith and Jedi. I don't foresee this trilogy being about Luke. The First Trilogy: Anakin/Vader. The Second: Luke/Vader/Anakin. The Third: Luke/----/Anakin Force Ghost?

Luke sacrificed everything in the OT. What is left for him? Sacrifice his family (he did this in the OT-Father, No Mother, Aunt and Uncle)? His life?

Yeah. I was being very generic in that regard. Really almost looking at the 3 film titles. Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi, with Balance of the Force seeming like it makes sense.

Mostly what I mean is that We have gotten quite a bit of the Jedi and the Sith. But I think some of the early stuff layed out in Phantom Menace from Qui-Gon is that it is the Force that matters most. And that Sith and Jedi are human constructs created to manage the Force.

If I am to think that this new trilogy is an extention of the other two. Creating 1 Nine-Part whole, then I'm looking for how the thing can wrap up as a whole. So It seems to me that the way to make that work is this. Yes the Jedi fought back and won back the galaxy from the Emperor, but will they do it right this time. I hope we see Luke and Ghost Qui-Gon working to find the true force.

So I guess the real question is, will this be the last trilogy?

GL says that originally the Whills were supposed to be The Force. I wonder if that's still true.

"The Whill of the Force." ;)

Chewbacca89 if this is the last trilogy then all of the Skywalkers must die. Only then will the Skywalker arc be complete. Leave one alive and people will continue to make movies.

The original screenplay for Star Wars was called The Journal of the Whills or something similar.
    Google is a wonderful tool...

I agree. Have them die or become something similar to the Ones.

We were talking about darklordoftech's idea of the Whont's not the Whills. Looking at the previous page before responding helps a lot. ;)

I don't understand your post. You took the time to point out to Lee and I what the Whills are because you obviously thought we were confused but when I tell you we weren't discussing the Whills you say you knew that from the beginning. Then why did you take the time to point out what the Whills are in the first place?

Interviewer: Wait, so it was your intention this whole time to have Willis, Bruce Willis in the ST of Star Wars>

Lucas: Well yes, of course. When I built my time machine in 1973 and travelled to 1988, I knew Bruce was always meant to play Han. Unfortunately, technology prevented me from doing this.

This thread is what, a year old now? And yet every time I see the title when I scroll down the page I think it's a thread about Bruce Willis being in Episode VII.
